Laurente circles left and throws some high arcing shots, not getting by the guard. Bruce pumps the jab hard, pursing his lips with exertion. Uppercut by Bruce stepping in!! Nice pair of uppers to the body. Laurente doubles the right jab into Bruce's guard and drops a low left hand behind them. Byrd thinks it was too low for his liking. Clinch, and Laurente pushes down on Bruce's neck until Bruce tells him to let go. Jabs traded back and forth, both playing catch and neither landing. They step together and throw uppercuts, both missing or glancing to the chest. Laurente moves his head side to side as Bruce jabs out of his high guard. Body shots by Laurente. Hooking flurry by Laurente into the guard with his feet up in the air as he hops off to the side. Bruce trains his jab on Laurente and tries to plant it on him from mid-range. Flurry up top by Laurente. Bruce ducks and covers and gets arm-slapped behind the head.

Very tight round. Have to go with Laurente's aggression since Bruce dropped his output.

Agreed, best single shot by far. Actually his uppercut is a close second.

He has a better arsenal than Laurente. He's just too damn passive. Typical damn Ghanaian.

 

Round 6

They're standing almost toe to toe and trading from their opposite stances. Almost mirrors of each other. Laurente's right jab vs. Bruce's left jab. Laurente's three or four slaps to the body vs. Bruce's one or two. High jabs by Bruce coming forward. Laurente circles left with his hands down and flurries every few steps, always opening with a right jab. Bruce lands a good jab. Laurente swings wildly with a wide cutting left/right combo and gets countered by a short right.
