that comment pretty much sums up the pac fans - they don't actually follow boxing beyond their over rated idol yet think they know everything there is to know about the sport.
they're the type whose real boxing knowledge - prior to pac fighting oscar - was garnered from their best of ali dvd and their well worn opinion of where it all went wrong for mike tyson

real fight fans watch under cards. its how we know who's coming thru. its why we actually have informed opinions on the sport

    Round 10

Burgos jabs and moves off to the left. Cruz tries to sharp shoot with jabs and right hands coming forward. Cruz misses. Clinch. Both slap at the bodies. Burgos hooks low. Cruz is on his toes, knees bent and coming forward. 1-2 by Cruz. JAB to the chin by Burgos. Good movement by Burgos. Drifting right, now left, and ducking Cruz's jabs. FLUSH jab by Burgos snaps Cruz's head back. Cruz chases after Burgos, not fleet enough to keep up with him. Burgos is on his bike! Long jab by Burgos, ducked by Cruz. Burgos catches Cruz rushing in and shoves him back. A minute left. Rabbit punch by Cruz before the break. Burgos backs up, jabbing and turning very smoothly. Cruz gets a jab through. Burgos jabs and circles the entire length of the ring. Clinch. Bayless isn't letting them clinch long. Cruz doubles a jab, chasing. Burgos backs up into a wide-based crouch, missing an overhand right.

    10-9 Cruz

    97-93 Burgos

It's funny; Burgos was very much the "puncher" and Cruz the "boxer" in this match-up...yet Burgos gave him a boxing lesson (and cruised in the twelfth) and it was Cruz desperately going for the KO.

I like the way Lampley covered all the bases, this round could be the draw, the loss, or the win. Really Lampley?
