Top 5 as in he broke the ring's top 5 iirc.

Great is subjective; what's your definition?

My definition of great is a man who's been the best in his division. I'm sure you agree he meets my definition? Now an atg is someone i'd pick to be the best in any era. Hamed never proved to me he could be the best in any era.

So a great? Yes. An all time great? No.

Hamed's overhyped and overrated only by his fans.EVERYONE ELSE rates him about right.Nobody else rates him like you hamed fans do.Tko victim and drawer with 3 mediocrities as well as past it Kelley?ANCIENT AND SHOT Vazquez?7 or 8 loss Soto and Medina?33 year old Johnson? 21-9 Robinson?33 year old and sd and md against the likes of Danny Romero at 122 Bungu?Light punching bantam McCullough? Why do you Hamed fans keep repeating these names on Hamed's resume as if they constitute an impressive resume? They DO NOT:lol::lol:.This is the resume you're basing a "great featherweight's" career on?Sorry dude, simply NO!On that note,Monzon beat Rodrigo Valdez twice who was light years better than anyone Hamed beat.Arguello beat inconsistent but sometime brilliant Ruben Oliveras at 126.You like any of hamed's victims over prime Rockabye?Didn't think so.Plus what Alexis did at the higher weights.Hagler beat Willie Monroe,Ray Seales,Bennie Briscoe and Tommy Hearns at 160,still superior than any of hamed's victims.Just which elite featherweights do you believe Hamed would have beaten?I can't think of a single elite.Sanchez would have ****ed him up far worse than MAB did:lol::lol:.But,please continue to brag about hamed's pretty good at best resume.:lol:

I believe that JMM would have beaten Hamed convincingly. In fact,I'm not a gambling man but would have bet the house on that one.His intelligent counterpunching style would have caused Hamed all sorts of serious problems. He was hamed's #1 WBO contender at 126 for a very long time. And hamed chose not to fight him for a long time, instead opting to eventually make some half assed challenge expecting JMM to show up in a month.hamed was the best against pretty good opposition. He never proved himself against anyone else.Prove me wrong.

A true warrior and legend of the sport. Sadly missed and will not be forgotten. Unfortunately the likes of Arguello and Sanchez will be though.

Could you please explain why you said 'unfortunately the likes of Arguello and Sanchez will be though'? I mean, ive heard some pretty outlandish statements on here and unless your being sarcastic, id love to hear this explanation

I said he might do, Norwood was very good, at least as good as Junior Jones who twice beat MAB and better than Raheem who dominated beat Morales, better than Espadas who was maybe robbed against Morales

He was the most overhyped and overrated fighter by his fans.He never beat a great fighter and was exposed and embarrassed by easily the best fighter he ever fought. The only reason he's brought up on these boards is that his fans just can't let go and admit the truth:lol::lol:.Arguello and Sanchez will be forgotten but Hamed will be remembered?:lol::lol:Sanchez has been dead since the 80's and is still revered by boxing fans of all shapes and sizes, and in all countries.Arguello has been dead for a couple of years and is still spoken about as an ATG even in your country. After Hamed dies,he'll just be remembered by people like you:lol:.

Might and will are 2 different words.Btw,MAB was still in his developing when he fought JJ.Proof?JJ stopped him in their 1st,but MAB went the distance and fought a close fight against him in their 2nd.

It's called adapting, maybe MAB did get better I'm not sure, defensively smarter, yes probably, I still had Jones winning the rematch 8-4. Norwood is a very different puzzle too, southpaw, elusive, quick, defensive. MAB never had to figure out such a puzzle

Marquez vs Pac III resembles Hamed vs Barrera. Freaky.

:lol::lol::lol:More excuses.Everyone knows hamed was always lazy.If anyone knew hamed throughout his career, they would have known hamed's fans are the #1 excuse makers in boxing, and that he NEVER like roadwork. As far as the last youtube is concerned,HBO Larry Merchant even admitted that Morales and MAB were taking time off after their barnburner and MAB would have fought Hamed in the next year, which is exactly what happened(and the rest is history:lol::lol::lol::lol:).As far as JMM is concerned,we all know what happened there.Hamed avoided him for at least 1 1/2 years and finally challenged JMM but expecting him to be ready in a ridiculously short time.Hamed was NEVER serious about JMM:lol::lol:
