styles will always make fights... marquez has a sharp counter-punching style that has always befuddled pac just as mayweather's defensive shoulder-roll style had marquez in all sorts of problems.

mayweather isn't as sharp at counter-punching as well as his workrate (punch volume) isn't as high as marquez. marquez also performs very well against southpaws while this is still a question mark on mayweather.


the combination of speed, power, unusual angles, volume/combination-punching as well as being a southpaw may still give mayweather problems. again, styles make fights.

mayweather has a different counter-punching style than marquez. mayweather mosly throws a single punch when counter-punching while jmm throws combos. it is certainly easier to defend against single-punch counters than multi-punch ones.

pac was able to defend against the first punch but not the 2nd or 3rd ones when jmm throws these combo counters. jmm
