    JDS last 8 fights:

    Werdum W by KO

    Struve W by KO

    Crocop W by sub/tko

    Yvel W by KO

    Gonzaga W by KO

    Nelson W by pts

    Carwin W by pts

    Velasquez W by KO

This is a pretty special 8-fight streak, no? Where does this place JDS on the all-time list of heavyweights?

Very nice list of wins. Best resume at HW currently. Added to that shortly will be either Lesnar or Overeem, and I'd pick Dos Santos in either fight. There will inevitably be a Velasquez rematch in the not too distant future, and I still think that's the most interesting fight for JDS at HW.
The strange thing is, there's not a lot left for JDS to do at HW. After he fights Lesnar/Overeem, who else is there? Velasquez II, Werdum II?
Schaub, Mitrione both just lost. He'd never fight Nog. Kongo? Cormier? Kharitonov?

Ye with Feddor it would be good, but if fedor wants to bang with JDS he will lose- Fedor is still in top 5 in my list but he cant strike with JDS- JDS has excellent boxing skills, very very fast hands!!!!

Given the infancy of MMA, JDS is already one of the best heavyweights ever. Wins of CroCop, Werdum, Cain, Yvel, Gonzaga, Struve and Carwin rank well.

    Fedor
    Nog
    Cro Cop
    Barnett

The rest is debatable but any heavyweight who can string some good defences together can enter that list.

Cro Cop is lucky to be fighting with a camera in the room at this stage, Struve & Yvel are mid-carders, Werdum was on some sort of dreamerbulk, Carwin is ok, nothing special, Gonzaga is the best skilled of them but has no heart at all...hes beaten some good names and strung together a # of W's, but he is by no means a great fighter yet. I like his style though, and hes one of a couple of fighters Im interested in watching now.

He has beat most of the HWs that matters out there

Lol all time HW? He is a good fighter but many thought that Cain was the new Fedor before this fight. He should have 2-3 title defences before we say such things

Good thing your ass got banned. Stupid post after stupid post.

    And stay down!

  13. JDS is a good fighter but nowhere near Fedor at this stage.

Werdum is probably the only proper legit opponent of JDS, and unlike Fedor in his prime who beat people in their own game, JDS only knocks out others while his ground game is still lacking.

CroCop is a good opponent but nowhere near what he used to be in his prime. Cain is also a good opponent but still pretty green.

  14. That particular post though was very good and too the point.

Zombies who believe Zuffa hype fell for it and thought that the inexperinced Cain should be considered as one of the ATG.

I picked JDS for a 1st RD KO because of his greater experience and skills hes shown on the ring, and not some Zuffa hype.

Who has found good success in taking him down and controlling him on the ground? :huh

Junior likes to stand on his feet and punch. That works very well for him, since he is great at stuffing takedowns and his standup seems to be the best in the division. He won't allow anyone to take him out of his preferred element, that doesn't mean he can't fight outside of it if he has to. We can't say that his ground game is lacking if we haven't seen anyone get the better of him on the ground. :conf
