7-5 marquez. i could live with a draw. but pacquiao did not win that. i thought he would knock marquez out, but marquez just borrowed shane's method of circling to the left and out boxed him pretty clearly

I'll have to re-watch but I felt at best Pac won 6 rounds and that's being as generous as possible. In others words, he did not win but at best could have gotten a draw. I think 7-5 was my score, didn't really keep track was too entrenched in the fight.

Do you know through 9 rounds in Douglas vs Tyson the fight would have been a draw? It just goes to show that a champ is always gifted two-three rounds. People see what they expect to see. An upset in boxing has to be clear cut or else through knockout

It's hard not to give the fight to Marquez. Especially now only minutes after the fight when emotions are running rampant. With that said, I'm giving the fight to Pacquiao by a single point, possibly two (need to review the tape tomorrow) for the obvious reasons. He did land more. Eventhough those punches were unclear. And he was the champion at the current fought weight.
So I give him the win on paper. However, Marquez for sure stole the show just like Morales did against Maidana. Nothing surprised me about the fight at all. It played out exactly the way I had seen it in my crazy noggin. The one thing I give tremendous props to Marquez is that he did NOT go down a single time when it was written in the stars that he was meant to.
    Marquez is a true warrior.

Draw would of been fair. Like Ive always said Jmm wasnt getting kod and this was.going the distance. I knew Manny was the SAME fighter from the 2nd Marquez fight by then he already had Manila Ice and used angles. Thats why Jmm knew how to handle Manny tonight. Manny shoulda fought anyone BUT Jmm. Manny got exposed bigtime by a 38 yr old legend. Like Ive always said you cant outfight or try to ko Jmm only way to beat him is outboxing him thats what Floyd did. I like Manny but thats what happens when you get fed over the hill fighters or damaged goods then get hyped to extraordinary proportions. Better than Duran? Hes not even better than Marquez ffs. I wish him the best but needs to leave his political career and focus more on boxing whoever advised him to fight a 38 yr old Marquez needs to get fired. That plan to look good against a past his prime + bloated lightweight champion just backfired!

Pacquiao wasn't aggressive either until the last two rounds. Most cautious he's fought in years. JMM often made the first move in fact. Fighting off the back foot is as valid a way to win a fight as going forward and attacking, do you not understand that? Floyd Mayweather did kind of well out of it, you know? Marquez countered beautifully off the back foot and outboxed Pacquiao. That's what happened, like it or not.
