It's extremely difficult to imagine that this is the guy that was troubled by B fighters in Diaz and Katsidis. Marquez should campaign at welterweight. 150 on fight night and we witnessed:

    - Vastly improved punch resistence
    - Vastly improved power
    - Improved speed
    - Tremendous, best in career body/shape

*******'s second attempt to bring up the pre-arranged PED excuse for Pacquiao's loss/awful performance.

    I'm on to you. :hey

Marquez's traps were huge in this fight.

Sounds like bull**** to me. Anyone who gave marquez a chance or knew he would put up a fight did so purely based off his skills and ring iq. Anyone who expected less was either a pacquiao loverboy or just the opposite. The proof is in the pudding

Actually, both were lesser versions of the Pacquiao and Marquez that met in the rematch and at 125lbs back in 2004.

Both have lost a step, which is what made it still so close.

Marquez definitely dialed back the clock from his recent performances (not counting the blitz of Ramos, just Diaz x2, Mayweather, and Katsidis) but he didn't dial it THAT far back. This was hardly the best Marquez the world has ever seen; it's the best Marquez the world has seen in a long time. Have you only seen Marquez a few times or something?

Marquez beat him in their respective primes and got a draw...beat him again in the twilight of their peak years and lost a SD...and beat him on the verge of shot and lost a MD. :verysad

I didn't see much evidence of improved speed or punch resistance. Pacquiao never landed his sunday punch, and JMM's success was as a result of his timing more than anything else. JMM is an incredible fighter, and this performance all but cements that, but the fight was close and no robbery took place. I can't wait to see what JMM has in store for us next.

I'm giving him props, you moron. :patsch

    Please prove me wrong...

Marquez has NEVER physically looked better. EVER.

Marquez wasn't bothered by Pac's supposedly PED-infused power. Punch resistance up, no KD.

Marquez looked no slower at 38 than he did anytime in his career.

    :happy

Marquez is nowhere near shot. I just think he's been draining himself as he got older. I'll pick tonight's version of JMM to beat Khan/Bradley.

No, you're not. It's a thinly veiled suggestion of the ridiculous PED's rumours that *******s like you were pushing on this forum for weeks before the fight. A convenient pre-arranged excuse, just in case he lost or looked like ****, which he did. You started another thread a few minutes ago which wasn't quite as subtle, hinting at the same thing. So shut the **** up you ******* clown, you're fooling no one.

    He looked slower
His punch resistance seemed improved, but wasn't really tested
    Power is a lot better
His timing looked a little off, but that could have been just early on in the fight

**** outta here, chode. Like I stated, I have my suspicions, but I'm not launching an all out smear campaign because I have no proof. But Marquez demonstrated all the "signs" of PEDs users that you morons love to apply: increased muscle and weight gain without losing speed, sudden punch resistance, and stamina. All this while JMM is supposedly too old to be able effectively fight at welterweight.

    :hi:

You obvioisly dont understand styles. First you say this is the best marquez? Now he beats khan or bradley? Based off of what? Pacquiao was clearly playing marquez game this fight and trying to counter punch with marquez. Didnt work. He had to resort back to wreckless pressure which favored pac in the later rounds. There is a reason nacho kept marquez away from khan. He is all wrong for the great marquez. Learn boxing please.
