Marquez has always the style to trouble Pac. It has something to do with his footwork. If you watch Marquez, he has this sneaky moving backward footstep whixh times Pac's offensive movement. That is what bothers Pac most because he can't find rhythm to his offense. Boxers who try to trade with Pac would not trouble Pac. Mayweather is different from JMM. Mayweather stays in pocket.
Arum's been in the business for decades. So have these judges. So why no previous history of any suspicious judging scores? :think
If outcome of the fight can be viewed differently from another angle, I wonder what kind of fight the judges saw from their seats.
I wonder if the close fight might actually give Manny more bargaining power... in the sense that Floyd might now be completely convinced that he could crush Manny and Manny might start having doubts about facing Floyd. If Mayweather is extremely desparate for the fight, but Manny isn't so keen, maybe Flody needs to make a few concessions to entice him into a fight he may no longer want so badly.
It doesn't matter where anyone watches it from - Manny lost. He was punching air all night, was off balance and getting countered round after round after round. This thread is completely deluded. Robbery.
JMM beat Pac but Juan Manuel and Floyd are completely different in the way they set up their counters, angle their offense/defense, and engage the pace of a fight. These are crucial elements to even being competitive with Pacquiao, and they don't translate between the two match-ups.
Nah! Your hype job thing is BS. Wherever Pac is now in the Boxing world, he deserves it. Stop hating. If ever a fight between Pacquiao and Mayweather happens, I'd still root for Pacquiao to win. Each fight is different. I just hope that with this just concluded Pac-JMM fight, Floyd Jr would finally cut all the b$llSh!t and have the balls to finally fight Pacquiao in the ring. The thought that he would be able to dominate Pacquiao twice than JMM did should give him that courage he desperately needs.
Manny vs Floyd is never going to happen. Floyd would literally have to put Manny in a wooden box to win a split decision. This fight was bull**** and Manny's reputation is now shot along with Lampley and Khan's with their contradictory revisionist commentary which went from having a JMM shut out to a pick 'em fight after the score cards were announced. Arum needs to be facing criminal charges for organising this robbery. All that is bad about boxing was on display last night. ****ing joke.
I scored the bout 115-113. Is there a boxing rule book on how to score boxing match? I usually go by numbers of punches landed (couldn't care less about the percentage). Plus often give close rounds to aggressors.
I'm glad I watched the Top Rank commentary instead. Sounds like Lampley was a cheerleader again tonight. Hardly surprising.
