I'm one of the biggest Pacquiao fan but I admit Marquez clearly won the fight.

I think the reason why we see a different Pac is that, he is now a technical boxer-puncher which makes Marquez easy to figure Pacquiao out. Pacquiao in his last 2 fights were reckless and swings wildly which makes Marquez having a hard time making a gameplan to outbox him.

I expected Pacquiao to put more pressure like he did with Cotto but he was really cautious in this fight which was his mistake IMO. He would have won some rounds if he was taking Marquez shots and fire back like what he did to Cotto.

How come Pac doesn't stop punching even though Cotto hit him with power shots? Today, Pac stopped punching everytime Marquez hits him.

If this fight was their first time to fight, Pacquiao would have destroyed Marquez, putting more pressure and always attack attack. The fact that Pacquiao fought Marquez before, he was cautious as ever.

    Any insights guys?

Nacho actually predicted this, and damn he was spot on.
The current Pac is indeed more predictable.

JMM boxed the fight of his life and took the pop out of Pacs punches, it was frustrating to watch. I had it 7-5 to JMM.

How much focus can a boxer have when he has a 60 man entourage, establishing a film career, establishing a career in music and being a congressman. Thats a lot of distractions. Even though Roach said it was Mannys best training camp, I think he's loosing the hunger.

The roids! The roids lose the performance after several years abuse. Oh and Manny does stop punching when you hurt him he steps back and raises his hands in the air to show he was not hurt which is all lies. The problem is Manny stop punching cuz he knew he would be countered all night. Cotto does not know how to counter. If he was scared of JMM counter imagine what he would be with Floyd.

Stop with the silly excuses - he got destroyed, PBF has just as much distractions and even takes more time off and trains harder.

Have you seen pack walking down into the ring? it seems to him he's gonna be ****ed up. and there it was. he was so ****ing frustrated throughout the fight. that was pacquiao's greatest mistake: frustration.

it's possible that pacquiao is slipping since the margarito fight but to me it's just marquez having the styles to trouble pacquiao. i actually thought that pac at WW would be strong enough to supplant this styles disadvantage but boy i was wrong. jmm looked strong at the weight and like i'm imagining that marquez was the bigger man in the ring. :D
