99% of my reading is Marquez won the fight. I had it 116-114 to Marquez I dont want to see a 4th fight.
116-112 like a lot of people. I suppose you could make the case for a draw giving Pac the benefit of the doubt in the close rounds but there's no way he won.
It was a business decision to give the fight to Manny, that's all. Couldn't have been based on actual boxing.
This is ****ing weird. I watched an hbo stream and hAd PAC winning by a round or so, although I didn't write anything down. Did all you guys watch the primetime broadcast? I don't think my judgement has ever been this far away from the consensus. I'll have to watch the primetime broadcast. This has totally ****ed my mind up.
Watch it with the sound down. HBO were pretty pro Pac last night. That said these Vegas judges love the aggressor.
I haven't scored it yet, as very rarely do I score a fight live, thought that it looked about 7/5, 8/4 without really keeping tally, but I'll watch it again later. EDIT: And for the record, HBO were sickeningly biased.
I watched HBO and had Marquez 8-4 up. Don't think that was a major factor. I thought HBO's commentary was poor.
I like to think I'm good at blocking out the bias spewed by commentators. I cant believe my view was so far away from almost everybody else on here. I honestly thought the best outcome for jmm would have been a draw. I also believe both fighters behave the way they did after the fight based on what they were told in their corners before the last round. Gonna download this in a second. My mind is seriously ****ed after seeing all these score cards.
I was regularly disagreeing with them, especially as they aways refer to the ****ing compubox stats which is total bull**** IMO. But I still had PAC winning a close fight and couldn't see how jmm could be awarded so many rounds.
As a general comment/ question. Is it realistically possible in Vegas to not be the aggressor, throw less punches and land less punches but still get the decision? Not saying its right, just asking the question given what a lot of these judges seem to looks at when scoring a fight.
I really doubt that any version of Pacquiao could beat any version of Mayweather respective to weight class(as in 130 Pac Vs 130 Floyd, not 140 Pac Vs 126 Floyd). After Mayweather-Ortiz I thought Pacquiao had a better chance than he ever would(still picking Mayweather to win a close but clear fight), but he really wouldn't. I mean, as great a fighter as he is, Marquez is a 38 year old who was pushing it by going to lightweight, this was an extremely poor performance from Manny.
Anyone got a link to this fight? Can't find anything on youtube yet. Sorry, I was elsewhere last night.:verysad
