116-112 Marquez The rounds I gave to Pac were the close ones, a draw was just conceivable giving Pac the Benefit of the doubt in rds 11 and 12, but even a draw would have been a real hometowner. This is about the 8th outrageous decision i have seen in the last couple of months all in favor of the 'promoters pet' if this is not corrupt I am a dutchman.
114-114 - but I got to this not scoring even rounds deliberately. There were a lot of close rounds that could have been given to Marquez and I felt he should have won. The fix is in I think.
I actually agree about a 4th fight. I thought JMM won the 2nd and 3rd fights but he didn't get the decision, why would he get the decision if they fought again?
I watched PrimeTime, thought rd was close and thought Pac edged it then at the end of every rd, Primetime said thats a Marquez rd. This fight was very close, however Primetime may have clouded some judgements. In no way was it clearly one way or another. As stated previous Pac threw more, landed more and was more aggressive.
I had it 117-112 to Marquez, Marquez tactics were spot on the way he took a step back so manny couldnt land his left and his timing was impeccable, he must of had great sparring
I haven't seen the fight yet so am a bit surprised to see the result and reviews of the fight to say the least. I tried finding a video on the net but gave up pretty easily because I really wasn't too excited by this fight and thought Manny would have too much for JMM at this point. Goes to show what I know, I thought Manny had made refinements over the years, how on earth did he beat Cotto and Margarito, if he struggles like hell against a career Super Featherweight/Lightweight. Sorry I'm probably looking at this too simplistic, likely a case that Marquez has Manny's number, but I do think this does goes to show that Floyd would eat him alive. No chance of that fight happening is there :-(
No robbery imo and I had money on JMM. Pac pressed JMM back all night and landed more. If JMM had followed up when he landed, he would have won easily. HBO were very pro-Pac. Max Kellerman needs to stop being so subtle and just flat out disgree with the other guys when he thinks they are wrong.
I honestly think there's an argument that JMM won every round last night. Some of the rounds were so close it was almost impossible to seperate them. I personally scored it 117-112 JMM, How anyone could score it as a draw let alone for Pacquaio needs a head examination.
