How did those ****s give Pacquiao rounds 2 and 3? Totally a round on JMMs terms, not even close

I could have sworn the 12th was the clearest round for Manny.

even if i gave the first round to Pacquaio, which i probably could have, id still have him losing by 2.

Woke up a few of my housemates last night as the decision was announced- was annoyed with the draw card but thought the other two must have been for Marquez- not sure me shouting "****ING BULL****" at 6 in the morning on a Sunday went down too well.

Got an initial score of 115-115.

Would like to go back and have another look, and I'm sure some of you would recommend that going by the landslide for Marquez that I'm seeing on this thread.

I found a lot of the rounds extremely difficult to score.

Unless there is a Brit fighting I am now becoming a Mexican supporter.

I've watched it twice and have Marquez winning 116-112 both times.

Just sat down and rewatched the fight in silence.

    Pac - 4, 6, 11, 12
    Marquez - 2, 3, 5, 7, 8
    Even - 1, 9, 10

    116-115 Marquez

Its amazing how much difference commentary can make to one's judgement. Last night I watched a HBO stream and, although not writing anything down, had Pac winning by a point or two. Rewatching the fight without hearing the opinions of the commentators it was clearer that Marquez was dictating the action for the vast majority of the fight. If anything I could have scored it wider for Marquez by giving him a couple of those even rounds but I'm happy with my score card.

There was no robbery here in terms of the winner of the fight. The robbery comes from the margin of victory for Pac on the official scorecards rather than the win itself. Every round was close and there were only one or two where there could be little or no argument as to who got the better of it IMO. Clearly two of these judges were giving Manny the benefit of the doubt throughout the fight.

If I'm honest, I don't see how Pacquiao wins more than 6 rounds. I gave him 4, and I felt he was getting the benefit of the doubt in 1 or 2 of those. So for me, it's a robbery in the sense that Pacquaio was given a victory when from what I saw he did not deserve more than 6 rounds, and any precise scorecard should have him winning less than that IMO.

    116-113 Marquez(7-4-1)

The key for me was that Marquez swept the vast majority of the middle without much dispute to be had, Pacquiao looked fairly cluless during that period and that's what cost him for me. There were a couple of rounds though that could've been scored either way, it was a lot closer than I initially thought upon first viewing, where I may have subconsciously trying to counter-act Lampley and Steward, 11-1 is, frankly, laughable:)lol:). There's no possible way Marquez dominated that much and you're merely giving him every single benefit of every doubt and then taking a few more benefits from the previous two fights and sticking them in as well.

I had it 116-112 to JMM and that was after some serious soul searching and giving everything close to Pac. Disgraceful official result in my opinion. I can't remember the last time I actually called robbery but this sort of fits the bill and I wouldn't slag anyone for calling it that.

I watched the HBO broadcast and if ever anyone complains about British commentary again they deserve ****ing with a nail embedded rolling pin. Lederman is blind and Manny Steward is just in love with Pac...****ing shocking.

This is how I saw it. Watching it as a Pac fan, I probably had Pac tinted glasses. Finished with JMM four rounds up. I need to watch it again but I'm just a little too disheartened with the whole thing to try to watch it back and work out how someone had an eight round swing to Pac from my card. Either me or they dont know what they're on about and I just cant bring myself to work out which is the case.

I made a mistake in the post you quoted mate, i meant the first not the last.

    I had it 116-113 (7-4-1).

Not seen the HBO Coverage, but as I put in the Choi, this is the sort of **** which makes you hate the game.

You cant **** with peoples lives like that.
