I admit I didn't see the JMM masterclass coming - I apologise!

    I was critical of this fight because it fitted right in with recent smart Pac fight selection: get a shot and/or recently beaten up opponent (JMM-Floyd), if possible get him fight under the Top Rank banner (check) and get further advantage (welterweight), and sell it as a genuine legitimate threat. But SWEET SCIENCE exposes BS tactics sooner or later and just like Hopkins in the Pavlik fight (an outcome I saw coming), JMM pulled a boxing masterclass on PacMan (which I didn't see happening), and I feel it's only fair to apologize to the Mexican slickster for doubting he can overcome age and weight disadvantages to put his best performance vs. Manny to date.

    Sorry Juan Manuel, and congratulations for the great performance, you just pulled a Nadal on Pacquiao, you will be forever remembered as he superior of the two! :happy

    I must admit, I myself gave Marquez no shot at winning this. I believed physically he was going to be outmatched.. but boy was I wrong. Definitely a boxing clinic Marquez put on, and a shame the judges didn't give him his well deserved win

    I love that. No matter what Pacquiao has done, or will do, as far as boxing fans are concerned, Juan Manuel had the better of him.


    And at least you can admit a mistake man. A lot of people here could learn from that.

    I think this is going a bit far to be perfectly honest

    Over the course of 36 rounds Pacquiao dropped Marquez 4 times , while that may not count for much in there 3rd fight , it certainly does 1 and 2 , Pacquiao as i seem to remember was hurt once in the 3 encounters , very breifly , both fighters were active (Pacquiao more so in every fight) and both showed high levels of ability , and willingness to make the fight a fight .

    Either of these 3 fights could of gone both ways IMHO , personally the way it see is this , they had a great trilogy of fights , and Pacquiao got the nod 2 out of 3 on the score cards , and there cannot be a massive argument made against it ,
