want to fight Pac at this point? He's not going to get the credit for beating Pac now. **** he might not even get a win without knocking him the **** out. Now the story will be Pac is on the downside of his career. Floyd should fight Sergio. That will do more for his legacy than Pac at this point.
Floyd wont get much credit for beating Martinez either, at least at 154 . Martinez didn't look that sensational in his last fight.
Floyd is not JMM. He's the biggest draw in the sport. The scoring will be ****ing sharp for this fight.
This thread is completely wrong , and your antagonizing people into a responce . The reason Floyd should fight Pacquiao is because Pacquiao is seen as the best P4P fighter in the world , and he resides in Floyds weight class , apart from all the nuts and bolts that go along with it , the Cotto demolision job , the Hatton KO , De La Hoya etc etc thats the bottom line . Pacquiao ranked #1 Mayweather ranked #2 , not Ortiz , not Marquez , not Berto , its Pacquiao who is seen as the best in the division Floyd claims to be about money , well Pacquiao makes him his biggest payday to date , the mans scared , no excuses , he wants nothing of Pacquiao :deal
He'd get loads of credit for beating Pacquiao, absolutely loads. Pac is an ATG, no doubt. He was fighter of the decade. Oh, sorry, I forgot, he just got outboxed so now is **** according the the general forum...carry on...
PBF doesn't get credit for any of his wins anyway and he was never going to get the credit he deserved if he fought Pac two years ago or in May.
I was thinking this more because of the dodgy scoring but you raise a good point. If Mayweather wins the will call Pacquiao "shot" FACT. Which is ironic because they said before the fight he was in the best shape of his life.
watch, floyds gonna come out and say "i don't have to fight him anymore, he lost" or some **** like that.
Doesn't get credit? So he's the #2 p4p fighter in the world with a 150 million dollar fight sitting on the back burner for no reason?
antagonizing? I thought I was just speaking my opinion. whatever. My point is that Pac won't be seen as the P4P best after this fight. No matter what people think of the score. On the contrary, folks who had him as this PED popping Hulk that was going to bulldoze JMM (I didn't btw) will now overreact and say Pac is somehow different than he's been the past 3 years. I guess Arum might be able to sell "styles make fights" to the specific Pac fans who don't watch much boxing and make them believe that JMM is just an anomaly. But for everyone else, He's going to go from Superman to Clark Kent in their eyes before fighting Floyd and it's going to be looked at like a Gatti fight. It would be unfair to both Pac and Floyd's legacy.
Floyd's biggest payday is still Pac by a longshot, and given what happened last night, he probably thinks it'll be easier than ever. Sounds like a couple of great reasons to make a fight in my book.
