I'm starting to have a feeling that Pac might retire. He's not going to fight PBF or Martinez so there's no one left.
Like I say I think Pacquiao definitely wants Mayweather and will fight him, but I don't think Arum does.
By and large i agree with this thread But im gonna say this , Pacquiao and Marquez are still unfinished , if both fighters would want to do it again next , why stop em , anybody who is anybody after Manny's last 2 outings have got Floyd picked , why not let them do it again then re assess Mayweather Pacquiao ??? Like you i have never been of the opinion that Pacquiao beats Mayweather , there was a breif period round about the time of Pacquiao Cotto that i was at least half convinced that Pacquiao makes this a good fight , and i still am of that opinion TBH , but i dont think he beats him , fact is , Pacquiao is the best opponent out there for Mayweather right now , and over the years I and fans of the sport have been sick of the talented Mayweather not fighting the man of the moment , there is no excuse , the fight has to happen . Not all the blame can lie with Floyd , and again Arum is surfacing as a man who will not do business with Mayweather , he's been there and he will not put up with Mayweather's antics , Pacquiao should leave Arum and co promote this fight with Mayweather , or sign the promotional rights to GB , thats the only the way the fights getting made , but he wont , why ??? , because Arum puts $20m + on the table every time Manny's out , and all he has to say to Manny is , " Floyd doesnt want the fight " , as well as him having a personal vendetta against Oscar and GB , mainly fuelled by Arum I think if Manny Pacquiao truly wants to fight Floyd Mayweather , Freddie Roach needs to be a lot more vocal in Arum's un willing ness to do buisness with Floyd , and maybe ask Pacquiao to leave TR to get the fight made
Its like JMM said "What do I have to do to win".... I see no reason for the rematch as I think it will only end in the same outcome. I love Marquez and think he has proved his point.
Regardless of what you might think about Pac's mental state after another tough fight with his rival and getting booed by the fans, he's still a prize fighter so if the money is right, I'd expect him to fight on, at least 1 or 2 more fights.
For the record I hope Arum know's that last night's fight should have eliminated Bradley from the sweepstakes. Either JMM & Pacquiao would have beat that ass. (& I'm a huge Bradley supporter, Just saying the truth)
They have fought 3 times , and he hasnt been awarded the decision in any of them , standing there on a podium moaning about it doesnt mean he won the fight !!! For whats its worth i think he won the 1st fight and lost 2 and 3 (Marquez) , but we all see things differently , i for one would like to see Pacquiao Marquez 4 before i see Mayweather Pacquiao , i just personally think that Mayweather Pacquiao had its moment , the fight didnt get made , now Marquez deserves another fight , if he so wants it , right now after last night im not sure i see the point of Mayweather Pacquiao right away which is a damn shame , because at one point it was bigger than Ben Hur
And just what qualified Josh Clottey and Shane Mosley ??? Arum couldnt give a **** , he will make Pacquiao Bradley and then he will make Pacquiao - Rios / Gamboa mark my words :deal
