HBO Face Off- Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito [VIDEO-EXTENDED VERSION]

That was a great face off. It wasnt boring like Maywether/Ortiz in which Ortiz didnt know what to say. But 2 things need to brought up, 1 Margarito look like a guilty fighter in which he was studdering when he saw a photo of that wrap that Cotto bring a picture. It shows clearly Margarito was in fact cheating when he tko Cotto. And number 2, i didnt like what Cotto said like this one "Why would you die in the ring? For what? I got a family, kids. Why do i need to leave everything on the line and die in that ring? To please the fans?" <<<Note to cotto when a fighter say he will die in that ring is shows the warrior heart. I hate Margarito but he did have huge balls for not quitting vs Pacquiao.

 

Cotto's stance is that if you do your job right, you don't have to be in the position to die for anything. I respect him, he has his priorities right and is enough of a man not to spout off that nonsense about being willing to die.

 

The difference in this fight is like Kellerman said.

Margarito is willing to die in the ring and Cotto is worried about his health before the fight even starts.

I really hope Cotto is not banking on Margarto punching softer because he thinks he used wraps in the first fight. Otherwise we might be in for a very short night.

Either way Margarito 7th round stoppage.

 

But if he dont do his job right and have to go to war and going get tough, cotto will just quit instead instead of leaving everything on the lime in which kind of mean he will have to die in that ring?

Cotto is clearly worry about his health in which is not good. I think Cotto sounds like he dont want to go into another way cause if he have too then when the going get tough cotto will likely quit.

 

No if he doesn't do his job right it still doesn't have to me a war.

Cotto takes a knee when he was getting hit with bricks, that was smart in hindsight, better to stop taking that punishment in that situation than continue getting assaulted with loaded gloves, might have saved his life.

that's true. hbo and all parties involved must know something to proceed with preparations. i dont see how he can be cleared to fight with that eye.
