I firmly believe his record stands up to either of them. Technically, I think he's the best boxer of the three. What do you think?
I've always believed that Marquez was better than both Barrera and Morales, but he never got the credit that he deserved.
Now he has to rank at least equal to them. He's the only one that has been on equal terms with Pac for three fights, not to mention beating Barrera. I think Marquez should fight Morales next.
yes i always have and if he had officially gotten the result he'd be the best of the fantastic four (pac, morales, barrera)
he is above in my book, by the early 30's barrera and morales were done, marquez is heading to 40 and looks on his prime.
Good question but its too soon. In the past (prior to last night) I'd have bith Barrera and Morales a notch above Marquez, in fact I'd have my ranking something like this; Barrera Morales Lewis Mosley Marquez Trinidad etc. I'd have to give it some serious thought, I wasn't prepared for Marquez winning on my scorecard.
I agree, Morales would be a great fight for him if he can't get anything 'bigger', like Khan for example. If he beat Morales he'd cement his place as the greatest Mexican fighter of the last two decades.
At this point, I believe he might. Before he was just under or arguably in the mix, but I think this fight has made it that much more solidified. What he lacked in depth early in his career he has recuperated late in the game, IMO.
He's only a stylistic match up for Manny but he does not rank nowhere near either of them .Lets keep things in perspective now !
:dealGood shout.I've been saying for a while that's the best way for them both to go out.Barrera was my favourite fighter for many years but Marquez is coming very close.I suppose you would have to say he's the equal of Barrera and Morales at least.
I have things very much in perspective. He is technically better than either of them. His record isn't bad either. As posted above, he's at least on par with both of 'em.
