He should steer well clear of Khan.Fed up with him chasing fights with much (naturally) smaller ATGs who would school him if age and weight were on a fair level.

Who was the only opponenet that had JMM even in the same sentence with both MAB and Morales ? Manny Pacquio ,and all he had waa 2 close fights with him and thats it ..But because he pretty much beats him after a 3rd attempt he's now on par with them ? Sorry I have to disagree JMM was pretty much beat by a faded Barrera yet how is he technically better than both of them when he's still under a shot MAB:think

I think this needs to be revisted in a week when the fight is not so fresh on people's mind ..

Pretty much beaten by a faded Barrera.? He won a UD. :huh

So no, he's not 'under' a shot Barrera, and yes, he is better technically than either of them.

    Morales > Marquez > Barrera

Technically Morales might be the best of the three. Both Morales and Marquez have given Pacquiao excellent fights

That shot Barrera was the same age and lost fair and square while on a good run

MAB and Morales ducked him at FW and took on lesser challanges, they avoided Norwood and Gainer who JMM fought too. Marquez has a much deeper resume than both of them

 Yeah, they were the same age and that tells the whole story. Change the ****in' station, PP. Holy ****.

I'd like some reasoning outside of personal preference?

I don't think he is better than Morales. Easily better than MAB.

This. I don't know how anybody can rank Marquez above Morales. That's just bandwagoning right now.

Morales was dominated by Raheem, outboxed by Espadas, lost at least 2 out of 3 against MAB, ducked Marquez and stopped twice against the Pacman

Marquez is a level above him

Another example of the knee jerk reaction of last night's fight. Morales has wins over Pac and Barrera. He's clearly above JMM.

Marquez uses his intelligence and ring smarts to much better effect than either other man did. Stellar footwork and counterpunching genius. Morales/Barrera were much more likely to go in there and slug it out. That's why Morales is well past his best at 35, and Barrera is practically retired, while Marquez just put in one the best performances of his career at age 38. Technically, he's easily the best of the 3 in my humble opinion.

But that's not to say he's a better fighter than either of them. However I believe he's done enough now to be rated at least as highly as either of them. I know many have a love affair with Morales, and rightly so, he's a ring legend, but Marquez has earned the right to be rated up there with him now in my opinion.

PP's posts always give me a good laugh.

JMM would have been forced into a war with Morales too if he had fought him. He's also fought his fair share of wars with Juan Diaz, Michael Katsidis, and Manny Pacquiao. The reason JMM is still operating at very high level is due to the fact that he turned professional long after Barrera, and he hadn't really fought top-tier, elite level competition until 2003.

It's laughable that MAB is getting left out of the argument considering he beat EM on two seperate occasions.
