In light of the controversy surrounding Pacquiao vs Marquez, i propose EVERYONE on ESB who can, rewatch the fight as soon as possible with the SOUND OFF. The reason i say that is because the different networks had a totally different view on the fight and this may bias your scoring.

If you thought Marquez won, keep an extra eye out for Pac's activity and punch accuracy and output. Weigh that against Marquez's cleaner more effective punching

If you thought Pacquiao won, keep an eye out for the times manny misses and is caught clean as a whistle by Marquez counters all fight long.

Once you have re-watched it and re-scored it, report here and let us know if a second viewing changed your opinion in any way. VERY often in the past i was convinced one fighter won, but upon watching it again i scored it differently, not being caught up in the moment.

Those who think it was a robbery, upon re-watching it do you find it was closer than you initially thought?

for the record i scored it 116-112 Marquez last night. Will be watching it again now

    No need to re-watch it.

    118 - 110 Marquez. Easily.

I'll do it, but there is no reason to compare activity with clean effective punching. The criteria for scoring does not even mention "activity."

The sound can help with the impact of punches, though. Otherwise you can score glancing or missing shots that perceive to land.

That may as well be the scores you're writing.

If you're gonna do it properly, post the round by round score and explain why. For the fun of it - Post in the round if you thought it was close.

Man **** the dick ridding that goes around on these forums. These days I feel like I have to go to youtube to get intelligent discussion. If you think Manny won the fight ask yourself why TWO, I repeat TWO of his teamates thought he lost the fight.

Both times I watched the fight I had it 116 - 112 Marquez. And thats being more then generious to Manny. The rounds Marquez won he won easy. The rounds Manny won he sqeaked through.

Guy didn't even celebrate after the fight but his dick riders want to act like it was some brilliant victory.

This is my scorecard. The first time I watched it I scored it for Marquez as I expected Pacquaio to absolutely destroy him. Rewatching it though I had a COMPLETELY different view. This was a close fight. Pacquaio threw and landed more punches and was the aggressor for the entire fight. Marquez performed well in the mid rounds but threw it away by not keeping the momentum through to the very important late rounds.

    1 PAC 10-9
    2 PAC 10-9
    3 PAC 10-9
    4 Marquez 10-9
    5 Marquez 10-9
    6 Marquez 10-9
    7 Pacquaio 10-9
    8 Marquez 10-9
    9 PAC 10-9
    10 PAC 10-9
    11 PAC 10-9
    12 PAC 10-9

This was a very close fight and some rounds could have gone either way, although in the middle rounds is when MArqurz made his mark.
Pacquaio was the agressor for every second of the fight and threw AND landed a significant amount of punches. For MArquez to beat Pac he needs to land significantly more punches than him, simple as that.

    PACQUAIO: 578/landed 176
    MARQUEZ: 436/Landed 138

    Pacquaio won this fight.

If I give all the close rounds to Pac. It is 8-5. Pac did not dominate not one round. His best rd was rd 1 and 10 which he won clearly.
