Has there ever been a fighter who publicly admitted he lost the fight?

    After a controversial decision.

    I know it's their pride that stops them from giving in, but Manny would gain respect if he would just admit he did not deserve the decision.

    Leonard later admitted he lost to Hearns in their second fight (Officially it was a draw). Ali basically implied he had lost in the post-fight interview with reporters. An exchange went something like "You seem to sound like the loser in all this." Ali, "Yeah, I'm the loser. I lost." Something close tot that.

    I dont remember clearly, but i think Maidana actually thought Morales desrved to be the winner in their fight, even tho Marcos ended up getting the nod.

    I only know of Rampage Jackson in MMA (Pride I think). He even tried to give the guy the belt. Not sure about boxing.

    Why would he or any other boxer do this? The decision is the judges not theirs. Boxers seldom know whether they won or not unless they KO their opponent.
