In the end, the telling thing was after the bell rang. One guy put his hands up, the other walked with his hands down to his corner. That right there tells you who won.

Best thing someone has said all day! Totally echo those sentiments my friend. We need to acknowledge him as the champ and Conqueror of Manny Pacquiao and not just a guy who tried hard and failed. he put on a master class, he was the general in there and bossed the fight and clearly won.

Agreed. If robberies hurt fans on a personal level, imagine what it must feel like to the actual fighter.

Marquez had the chance to be on top of the Boxing world (which he deserves to be) but it was all taken away from him because of politics. There is no level above Pacquiao or Mayweather, and if he cannot get a W against either then he will always be remembered in history as this era's number 3.

Sad stuff, because JMM is a warrior that deserves to be in the same light as Pac and all other great fighters in recent years.

My passion to watch fights has died down now, I genuinely have lost alot of interest for the Pac, Mayweather fight.

You cant be leading if you are backing up, but Marquez mixed it up beautifully. He controlled the distance to a T. It was poetry in motion. He walked Manny on to counters all night long.

We need to recognise Marquez as the champ. Manny does not deserve the accolades for "winning" this fight.

 

He doesnt deserve it at all. I like Pac he is one of my favourite fighters but last night he was beaten fairly comfortable

But when I think of it this way, Pac must also feel a bit shitty at this stage too. He has lost a small fanbase of hardcore boxing fans, the rep level for him has gone down, and in the end Pac is perceived as a false villain.
So the politics of boxing has ****ed up not only JMM but also Pac in a way. But obv JMM alot more
Either way it is a messed up situation, I understand why Hagler never made a comeback after losing to SRL
