Yep. I thought it was a draw too when not taking into account the Compubox #'s. The difference between the two fighters in performance was razor thin. Folks need to be less emotional about this.

Take the Lederman card out and then it's fine. It's like with the Zab Judah v Amir Khan fight.... Amir looked more physically active but in essence didn't have such a high connect %. Manny was being cautious i guess... and evry punch counts. We expect Manny to jump around like a duracell bunny and hit combinations and left hooks etc. This is not always the case. The need to get some medical checkups to see why he gets these cramps and also they need to work on counterpunching.

Pisstard, I respect how you saw the fight but many peeps also had a differing opinion with yours. 2 of the 3 peeps tasked officially to score the fight saw a Pacquiao victory. JMM didn't get even at least one nod from the judges.

JMM as the challenger didn't do enough to take away the belt from Champ Pacquiao. He's just passively waiting and lost it in the championship rounds.

As in their second fight in 2008, Overall/total compubox stats favored Marquez but if we break down the round by round stats, it's 6-6 with the knockdown as the difference.

I had it 115-113 Marquez. Anything from 115-113 for either man or a draw is acceptable, it was that close. 116-112 or higher is a bit of a stretch, imo.

I scored it 116-112 JMM as I score body punching very highly but the fight was close with a lot of close rounds that can go either way. Some people overreact a little bit I guess.

Punch statistics do not take into account how clean the punch lands, or how much damage the punch does.

Statistics are a good tool, but they do not tell the whole story. Marquez was landing the cleaner and more effective blows at different points in the fight, and that's why he was winning rounds.

116-112 is only acceptable if it's for JMM which is what many have.

Don't know about those numbers. Looked rigged to me. Some rounds I thought JMM clearly landed more.

I had it a draw, or 115-113 Marquez. 116-112 may be a bit too much IMO. Most rounds were really hard to score due to lack of action.

The only reason ******* got the first two fights (draw and SD) was because he knocked JMM down.....that didn't happen this time.......JMM boxed his ears off again....JMM wins.........Pacquaio got a shady decision based on business, not boxing.......sad day in boxing.

Part of the hysteria is the expectation that everyone put on Pacquaio to KO Marquez. When Marquez stood his ground and didn't get blown away, it automatically looks bad on Pacquaio even though the stats tell a different story.
