all people that use the compubox as a tool to score fights crack me up. Notice that the TS didn't answer any of the critics on this system. The people that counts the punches are just humans that the fight and push a button when they believe a blow has landed. When you have fighters with extremely fast hands there will be a lot of errors.

Just watched the fight again without predjudice and scored it 7 rounds to 5 for Marquez. I gave Pac round 12 which could have went either way. Thats just the way I see it. JMM was tatooing that ass.

    Exactly. Well put.

Those dudes pushin' them buttons also work for HBO and appear to have been every bit as biased as the commentary team.

I'm waiting to see fight on HBO, then I will see if it was robbery. But I 'll be damned the day I start going by compubox to see who really won a fight. It doesn't count hard punches vs average ones, or take into a account a punch that rocks a guy.

Then you better get all cracked up with *****S because that's their bread and butter.
To wit their favorite line "Numbers don't lie" (used both in compubox precentages and PPV sales).

Because honestly, I hate all people using compubox to score a fight as well.

I'm a big critic of Kellerman, but he was the only one that was decent last nght. You could get the sense that Max wanted to disagree with Lampley, Steward, and especially Lederman but he didn't want to **** them off. Merchant would have ass kissed Pacquiao as well if he was there.

And that was one of Pac's better rounds, ironically. By better, it could have been scored a draw.

    He did.
It doesn't mean they were as clean and crisp as that of JMM's punches, but he did.

But since when was Pac known for clean punching unless he was fighting slowpokes along the lines of shot ODLH and Margarito anyway?
His punches have always been sneaky and difficult to assess (let's ask Mosley).
But if this picture should help, then that's how frequent and how hard he hit JMM:

Before you go all butt hurt and ****, I'm arguing the notion that Pac didn't land that much on JMM, which is false.
This is not about the outcome of the fight.

Right. Stats are one way to separate all the natural biases. Not that they are the definitive answer but the clear stat edge in favor of Pac should at the very least stop people from crying about a robbery. You still could think JMM won but should at least be able to see how close the fight was. JMM fans are acting completely irrational in their outrage.

It's all good. but I don't really understand what the relevance of the picture is? To show swelling around Juan's eyes? Dude is 38 and went 12 with a massive puncher.....****, he looks pretty good if you ask me.

From what I seen, Pac might get 43% for anything that didn't whiff air. Meaning they may have made contact to Juan's arms, gloves, etc.

The picture shows that Pac indeed connected a lot.
They weren't clean, but he did. That's all.
It could be because of JMM's age or Pac's PED's or what not, but he did connect comparable numbers to JMM.
Take note I said comparable numbers, not comparable quality.
Come to think of it, isn't this the first time that Pac connected more than JMM accdg to compubox?

But yes, JMM's my new hero. He looked like a f*cking bull in the ring last night if you ask me.

NACHO told Marquez not to engage all night! Pac won the fight, but it was boring......................Pac was the aggressor, hope Void will get courage to fight Pac now, but he still will not. Looks like a rematch in May.

Maybe one of my favorite moments of last night was Juan bein' like "She-it, if ya'll wanna talk to me, I'ma be in the back with this big ass sombrero over my nuts"....:p

    Classic.:rofl
Funny thing was, only a few people noticed that he *probably* only had a sombrero "on" during the interview.
    That was badass.:bbb
