Quitter. Those of great character and championship mettle, when bested, endeavor to improve and re-prove themselves. Naz took a beating, found it not to his liking and hung up his gloves. If you want to play ... you have to get in the sandbox. He took his pail and ran.
Prove you wrong? Do you realise how flawed a concept that is? I can say there's a swarm of invisible pigs flying around outside my house, prove me wrong. It's a ridiculous concept. Especially in a sport as subjective as this is, how can we ever prove who'd have won between these two? I say hamed was the best in his division for a short era and I back that up by virtue of him unifying every major belt. By being the best at a given point I class him a great fighter. Meaning in the division's history there'll be approximately 40 or so greats as defined by myself. In today's division I put gamboa top meaning I class him as great. I will not ask you to prove me wrong here because it's a ridiculous task with no merit to it.
Hamed never beat anyone special.Never.What makes me crazy is when his fans try to boost his pretty good at best comp to make hamed look better than he was. It's that simple. And by saying prove me wrong,I meant make a serious case for hamed beating JMM.Is that so ridiculous?I had no idea you were so sensitive, luvcrazy. Now I ask you, because I respect your opinion but have no respect for the opinions on this subject of most of the Hamed fans on these boards.Based on what performance(s) or victim(s) of Hamed's would indicate that he would have beaten JMM?You believe that my referring to that is ridiculous but you never take to task some of the insanity that the hamed fans write on these boards?Just read Hent's comments, for example.Hamed's fans always make many excuses of why he lost to MAB,but that's ok with you, too?
Hameds fans dont amke any excuses, everything stated is facts, Hamed was nowhere near his prime against MAB. Comparing the Hamed to the MAb fight fromt he Robinson fight is like comparing the Tyson of the Holyfield fight to the Tyson of the Berbick fight. Why would Hamed have avoided JMM, who was a nobody at the time? watch the video again. JMM rejected Hameds offer. Hamed was ducking JMM, just as much as Khan is ducking Bradley today
Nobody cares about them. They werent on the princes level. The only sanchez people will be talking about is Augie, the one Hamed put in a stretcher.
I agree with your statement. Hamad at least made the very best of what opposition he had to fight as well as the ability he possessed.. There's not much else you can ask of a fighter.
Well said, you cant really diss a fighter who ruled his division and unified the belts, he did what was asked of him. IMO he was by far one of the mos popular boxers of the late 90s, dude was HUGE. Way bigger than Calzaghe, Hatton and Lewis.
I'm not crazy for love haha. I don't think he'd beat jmm. I don't really care for his fans bigging him up neither, but they aren't replying to my posts you are.
Never had a big, defining victory over an elite opponent but had victories over a whole load of very solid world class fighters. A very good champion but not 'great' imo.
Sometimes this is good enough, and in some circumstances is better than having perhaps a single win over only one great fighter with little else in terms of depth.
For me, to be great you just have to be the best at a given point in time. For example ricky burns is a great super featherweight champion in my eyes.
You are absolutely the funniest ****er EVER on these boards!!And just for shits and giggles, hamed was the SECOND OF THREE fighters that put Augie in a stretcher, lol!!!!
