Another poor stoppage imo. This happens week in week out.

Don't think It was a bad stoppage but I don't think it was great one Really think Edwards should have let go a bit longer I honestly didn't think the 1st knock down was legit sure Pajkic was hurt but it looked like he was pushed.

Saying that the fight was embarrassing to watch yet compelling at the same time.

I think the ref jumped in a punch or two early. But I think Pajkic was done for. I think the protesting from pajkics corner was more down to the fact he had dropped Tyson the previous round and was kicking himself he hadn't capitalized and got dropped twice and put on ***** street in the next round.

I don't think he was in a position to continue to be honest and maybe this was a good call by the ref, but from the fans perspective a little early. Had it gone on for just a few seconds more and Tyson dropped Pajkic for a 3rd time and then the ref stopped it would of left a much better taste in everyones mouth. I know the refs gota look out for the fighters health but this is boxing, you get punched and you get hurt.

Yer the ref's kind of stuck in between a rock and a hard place when it comes to stoppages like this.

Then you are into the "the ref isn't the timekeeper" argument of Taylor-Chavez. He stops it when he thinks it should be stopped, not with one eye on the clock.

That’s the bottom line. The ref is there to referee the fight based on what’s happening inside it. He shouldn’t concern himself with keeping time or scoring the fight. As soon as you start making judgement calls based on time (which the referee doesn’t know) you are opening yourself up to letting a fighter get hurt.

  9. Agreed.

Let's not have the Chavez/Taylor debate again

Steele got it bang on, Taylor was cooked.

Yeah, the wording doesn't ring true.

Maybe Pajkic would have been caught again by Fury.........but he wasn't "unable to continue".......he plainly was "able to continue".

Aye the Logan fight was a stormer - same with the Benn v Lou Gent fight - multiple knockdowns , benn all over the place .

anyway I thought the ref would let it go to the end of the round as there was only 17 seconds left what with Fury also being badly hurt himself - reminded a bit of Foreman V Ron Lyle where you thought one big shot and either man could go over.

I didn't say anything about the clock. I just said he could have survived the round and perhaps come back strong in the next. That is so, even if he had another minute until the end of the round. (Although such may make things more difficult for him.)

i thought it was a decent stoppage after seeing it.
He never really recoverd from that huge uppercut landed that landed. Then he went down from punches in a clinch - when was the last time you saw that? Lewis V Grant? Look how that ended. Fury was landing and landing with good power - Pajikc could have carried on but were his legs under him, was his guard solid - i dont think so
