I put forward this article for your consideration: http://www.examiner.com/boxing-in-s...-influence-while-misguided-marquez-bows-to-it Pacquiao overcomes crowds influence while misguided Marquez bows to it Not many neutral observers will seriously question the majority decision by which Manny Pacquiao edged Juan Manuel Marquez in their welterweight title bout Saturday in Las Vegas. This content is protected This content is protected I thought Pacquiao won 7-5. Thats closer than experts and bettors (and a lot closer than Marquezs 2009 loss to Floyd Mayweather), expected and closer than any Pacquiao fight since he last fought Marquez, but it was a clear-cut victory. Unfortunately, This content is protected in the bout, swayed one another into thinking the decision was a travesty. Worse, they swayed Marquez and his trainer Nacho Beristain into believing Marquez had a big lead. This content is protected When ring announcer Michael Buffer reported the scoring, he began with Robert Hoyles 114-114 verdict. Then he announced Dave Morettis 115-113 scorecard and Glenn Trowbridges 116-112 tally without telling us who they favored. But it had to be Pacquiao. It couldnt have been Marquez. No way on earth did he win eight rounds, whereas the case for Pacquiao winning eight was strong. This content is protected Marquez (53-6) did land about 20 clean straight rights in the bout that indeed made a strong impression and kept Pacquiao from landing combinations, but the 38-year-old Mexican did not do enough to win the fight. Although Pacquiao (54-3-2) deserved the decision, the bout was roughly as even as the first two Pacquiao-Marquez bouts, which were a draw in 2004 and a narrow split decision favoring Pacquiao in 2008. They fought more conservatively this time, the opposite of what Pacquiaos camp had led us to believe. The first six rounds were frustrating to all as the two expert counterpunches didnt sustain much action, and that made Marquezs occasional successes stand out all the more. But no one who was actually scoring the fight round by round could have had Marquez winning the decision or even leading at any point. He fought well and competitively, but This content is protected Thoughts? :bbb:bbb:bbb
The fact that it's on Examiner.com means it's almost certainly 900% ridiculous. All Examiner is, is masterbuation material for South East Asians. It's a pay per click site. Most writers know that saying "Asian fighter lost" is bad for business
I'm not saying the article is infallible, but some of the points are obviously true. Pac was the aggressor, did throw and land more punches, and Marquez did squander some rounds by not taking enough risks and not really going for the emphatic win. And the crowd were indeed influencing the fans watching on TV. Every Marquez connection was met with a huge roar!
"Not many neutral observers will seriously question the majority decision by which Manny Pacquiao edged Juan Manuel Marquez in their welterweight title bout Saturday in Las Vegas" You know, all neutral observors thought this. Examiner.com is a ******* site
Probably wrong with everything you said tbh, and Im ignoring Pac fans from now on. How the hell anyone thought Pac won is beyond me Effective aggresion?? Marquez was making Pac miss wildy all fight. Marquez made Pac look shite. He was landing counter punches every round taking Pac to school Marquez won by 2/3 rounds easily! I wont listen to any other scorecard. Im a Pac fan but he clearly got schooled and could very easily now have 2 loses to Marquez (maybe 3), one to Morales, two when he was younger. Pacs an amazing fighter, but he can't fight for **** against an effective counter puncher like Marquez. And Floyd will/would school Pac so bad. Pac does zero body punching, al you have to do is high guard to stop his wild punches, then counter like marquez did Still fuming.
Popkins The only reason this guy wrote this article, like this, is so that Asian people google it, click to read it, like it, and bookmark him........ Every Examiner.com writer is hugely biased against anyone Pacquiao is linked to.
Examiner.com is pay per click. They only get paid if they generate a lot of reads. Generating reads has little to do with giving your honest opinion!? You know, anyone with a brain knows that fight could have gone either way.
The world is a *******, and every sentence in that article is false and a *******. Pac didn't win by Compubox, Compubox is a ******* as well. :dead:dead:dead
What's compubox got to do with fair scoring. Marquez outpunched Manny in the first 2 fights, and didn't win either
