It's just to tell you what the man thinks of himself as a puncher - it's called trying to justify my debate.

 Alright, in that case, who have Matthysse and Maidana knocked out for you to suggest they're harder punchers?

Whether he beat them or not does not come into the argument. We're debating power, not the rest of his ability.

I'm not trying to 'big up' Ortiz. I'm just saying, my opinion is that he's one of the hardest punchers in Boxing right now.

Khan would not dominate and stop Ortiz. Don't be silly.

There's not many great one punch KO artist anymore. Manny Steward believes cos of poor padwork and fighters not punching through target.

'Pab it is part of his 'Lamont got a draw with Ortiz so he's World class' Khan agenda :deal

That's awful reasoning. It's nothing to do with the fact that Morales is an "over the hill" blown up featherweight, is it?

theres a difference between a blunt force punch say on a punchbag - which some fighters, Ortiz included, would score very highly on.

the other type is the timing / distance / good technique punching - which nowadays seems to be very very rare.

Randall Bailey - thats how to throw a right hand.

  7. Why wouldn't Khan dominate and stop Ortiz?

I'm not the biggest Khan fan, but the stylistic matchup certainly lies in his favour, and he's got a mental edge too, in the sense that he won't just quit if he can't steamroller the opponent.

Steward is definitely right about the lack of punchers in modern boxing, and the reasons why too.

Fair point. I mentioned Khan as well, though, so you can't just point that out.

Along with my other points, I'm still believing he's one of the hardest punchers out there.

    What do you think?

Plus the fact they had 'winning' gloves on, a certain poster blamed them on Maidana not hurting Morales...

Ortiz isn't as bad, as you're suggesting.

Amir's skills aren't that great. He's hittable, his defense is leaky. Who was the last guy who had power that gave Amir problems? Oh yeah, Maidana.

Ortiz would do the same, and I think he'd give Khan all he could handle.

He's got a decent dig but I wouldn't go that far. He's a couple of levels below the top punchers.

Not a casual by any stretch. Many posters would back me on that.

Again, it's pure arrogance. No denying it. It's not the first time you've done it.
