Cain was in terrible physical shape............ he looked fat and sloppy, certainly not the""Baddest man on the planet" material.

Was a shitty post from a shitty troll. Having bumped into his 'posts' in several threads plus his own thread, it's obvious that his main goal was to disrespect the sport and those who follow it.

On topic, majority of posters in this forum alone picked Dos Santos to win the fight, and they picked him by KO. Goes to show you that not many folks fall for the hype.

Cain looked EXACTLY as he looked before the Brock fight.

  3. Majority of posters in this forum? many in this forum picked Cain.

In saying that, this forum wasnt as blinded by the hype as some other forums where Cain was supposed to win by KO by as much as 80-90% of posters.

I simply couldnt understand why JDS and his experince and shown skillset was so much of an underdog.

Then I saw how much Dana promoted Cain and not JDS.

  4. Newsflash! There are no great HW's in MMA. There are no long reigning champs and there is no credibility in winning that gaudy WWE championship belt. MMA is a fad,a fringe sport like Kick Boxing. The MMA HW champ gets KO'd by any half decent HW boxer in round one. There is no way that these MMA glass chins could take a sustained beating especially when their "champ" was KO'd by sloppy amateur punches on FOX.

He's Mexican he'll never look shredded, his condition was fine, as soon as he shot on Santos and couldnt grab him he was mentally beaten

Only just won the belt. Hasn't defended it yet. And people talk about all time great lists? Silly IMO. MMA fans are so ****ing premature about everything.

JDS last 2 wins are easily the most impressive by far in his resume apart from Werdum (Who was looking past JDS and bulking up for Lesnar) most of those names are at the end of their careers or fighters who will never get past gatekeeper status.

But as I stated his last 2 wins have been highly impressive.

  13. So what has Shane Carwin done and Cain done thats put them in the high pedestal of MMA, why were they great wins? Both Cain and Carwin are relatively inexperienced themselves.

Carwin especially is inexperienced, a more experienced fighter wouldnt have had an all body cramp in the first round and would have picked his shots better.

Quite. Only inexperienced fighters make such basic mistakes when they think they've got their opponent beat.

  15. Loosing to someone that was regarded as the best grappler in MMA who won countless of ADCC championships isnt something to be ashamed of. Especially when Wurdum had to work for his win (he said so himself) because Fedor was countering them. Its also nothing to be ashamed of then Fedor is now older, slower, weaker than his prime.

Carwin on the other hand simply had no experience in lasting for the whole fight, and was practically an immobile training bag after ONE round. Tell me prior to the Lesnar fight just how many times has Carwin gone past the second round? YES, THATS CALLED INEXPERIENCED!!!! and he has more to learn, do and experince.

So please stop hyping up any UFC champion as the best and greatest in history untill theyve actually built up a great string of wins. We have now seen this "new baddest" garbage with Brock, Carwin, Cain, and now JDS. JDS doesnt need your hyping up, hes at least in a better position than the others to build up his name the old fashioned way (through fights), seeing as he isnt exactly Dana/UFC's favourite cash cow.
