You may have to explain it a little more slowly though for me though bro :good Interesting- I like the encouragement of the fighter's activity. Boxrec has tried to do something similar based on points, although THEIR system often does not seem representative of what is actually going on. Points systems could be shaped to encourage activity, but there should be a human element in there of analyzing the fight as well.... I don't mind a little bit of a subjective element-- not just entirely subjective like the current standards we have.
The whole idea of p4p is opinion, therefore the idea of having an official number 1 p4p fighter based on points is a hideous idea
Na sorry dude. I respect your opinion in all but a fighter has the right to do be as active or inactive as they want. This sort of point about activity reminds me a bit of Ricky Williams. How could you complain about Floyd or rickys activity if they are doing what they want to do with their life? Being a pro boxer or football player is a job. You can leave a job whenever you want so why cant they? Ricky racks up 1000 yard season (obviously not an MVP worthy year) but had it have been why should his previous inactivity effect how he is rated in the category. It's the experts that put floyd p4p number 1/2 even after his inactivity. Also right now floyds active considering his last fight was about 2 months ago and we believe he will fight on the 5th of may aswell
