It is ****ed up that a boxer can clearly win 5 rounds and the other one wins because they won 7 close rounds. For example Pac Marquez 3 was "close" according to some people. If it actually was, this is because a Pac was given most of the close rounds. It is ****ed up that a round like the fifth or so which was clear as ****, is rewarded the same as the first round in that fight.
    Here is what I propose:

•When someone wins a close round it is scored 10-9.

•When someone wins a clear round it is scored 10-8.

•When some one dominates a fighter and has him on the verge of being knocked out almost all the round ( like round 10 in Maidana Khan) it is scored 10-7.

    • When you are knocked down in a round, a point is taken away at the end of the round.

    • You can only get one point taken away per round because of knock downs.

Please tell me what you think the flaws in this system are.

Btw if a boxer is dominated and hurt the entire round, and also got knocked down, it still scored 10-7.

JMM fans are creating their own scoring system so JMM can win against PAC

Maybe JMM should fight more aggresive thats how you win it

Fighters just need to be told who to fight and when to fight...eventually biased decisions won't matter as much and judges will be less likely to give "veteran decisions".

The problem is that these guys fight 1 or 2 times a year and basically get to pick who they fight. They are all built up as more than they are. Lose because you had a bad night or because the guy just executed his style well and your career takes a major hit. Sooo much excitement in this sport is focused on "the upset"..judges just don't want to give them for "good fights".

I disagree completely with the change you suggested. Giving 10-8 for a "clear round" is ridiculous and it doesn't even take care of the problem as people will just say "Wait, THAT was a clear round?" and argue over what that means. The only thing I would suggest is to bring back/start giving even rounds. Nothing wrong with a 10/10.

    No

Judges struggle to score fights as it is. Lets not complicate it further for them

I believe in some countries they score half rounds (ex-a 10-9.5 round is a really close round)

Horrible. You will have guys arguing if it was a dominant round or a clear round. You should get all the points you can get if you can but someone on their ass.

No this is a twelve round fight. Winning more rounds than the opponent will win you the fight.

    I like the system.
