My original scores were either 8-4 Marquez or 9-3 Marquez. I watched a foreign broadcast of the fight so I didn't have to put up with HBO's subliminal and not so subliminal bias i.e. Lampley claiming Pac lands a beautiful right hand, when Marquez was the one that landed a two punch combination. I felt Marquez was landing the showy clean crisp shots of the fight. The three or four rounds I gave to Pac were either way rounds. I am rewatching it tonight, and also doing a real punch analysis, since CompuBox seems to have issues with fabricating punch stats out of thin air.

The laugh of the night had to be the CompuBox stats. We know what somebodies face looks like when Pacquiao lands a few solid crisp flush punches, the opponent ends up with busted eye sockets, ruptured ear drums, broken, noses, severe facial lacerations and cuts, yet after allegedly 170 something punches landed by Pacquaio, Marquez didn't have much in terms of facial damage. Truth is, that is because Pacquiao landed no where near 170 punches, and damn sure didn't outland Marquez.

marquez fought too cautious. i was disgusted he didn't fight the way he fought diaz, katsidis etc. Pacquiao was the one pressing the action. Marquez fought too scared. He deserved to lose.

Marquez will never beat Pacquiao. He will never be the champion with the kind of performance. Marquez will never be Pacquiao so stop crying.

Is that surprising then the fans were unsatisfied with the decision
since they were mostly Marquez fans?

If you're talking about the crowd I was with they were silent when the decision was called and were like "that was too close" when it was called. What do you think?

Lol if coming forward is all you ever think of then I guess in your opinion Margarito is better than Pacquiao.|:|

what i am trying to say is if he really wanted to win that bad, he should have brought the fight to Pacquiao and not the other way around.

Juan's a known counterpuncher. I can agree on an impartial level that throwing more will have greater chances of the judges thinking you're landing, but there are plenty of other ways to win a fight. Just ask any pure boxer

Well, he fought differently this time. He was aggresive when he fought diaz, katsidis and others. If those fights lasted the distance, the judges will surely give him the nod.

After 10 I had JMM 7 & 3 up so Pacman needed the KO. I dont know what fight Lederman was watching but it wasnt this one. He was all over Pacman's dick.

    JMM 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10
    I gave Pacman 1, 6, 9, 11, 12

There was no doubt JMM won. Close but even with 11 & 12 going to Manny, JMM already had it in the bag.

I had the fight 5-3 for Marquez after 8, but gave Pac 3 of the last 4 rounds getting a draw on my card.
