Yep. Manny deserves the win for wearing out JMM's gloves like that. Those glove will never be the same!

The force from the glove moving backwards must've been hitting Marquez a little too hard. Or the whiff of air from Manny's punches had him bruised up and eyes swollen.:bbb

I just score the fight, I don't really think about anything else. I scored it more than once, I watched it with both UK and US commentary. The UK commentary had JMM winning, the US commentary had Pac winning. I always don't pay attention when I'm told to score fights without the volume. I disagree with commentators often and don't feel any pressure to alter my card, if they see it different to me then it's not a problem, I score it independently. Marquez won in my opinion, I've scored it twice and I had him winning 8 rounds to 4 both times.

Everybody I watched the fight with scored the fight for Pac 8-4 or 7-5. In fact when they read the scorecards we were all shocked somebody could even see it a draw. Never did any of us consider Marquez may have won, it wasn't even in question. I watched the fight with all Mayweather fans, too.

Look at your avatar then look at your post, then look back at your avatar then back at your post then come to the realisation you're a ******* and chances are so are the people who you were watching the fight with.

    manners are priceless.

What makes you cringe makes other's appreciate.

I know to you this forum is all about trolling, but to many others it is about education and passion in a sport we love. appreciating the input of others who can offer diverse opinions to your own with strong counter argument is crucial and in disagreements such as those politeness is a virtue as one seeks to further their knowledge.

I appreciate knowledge, sense and manners. Even in this vile hotbed of internet filth because I know, once I move over to the classic, good conversation can commence.

So I to apologise for any offence I caused.

I hope that makes you cringe enough to log off and never return.

I definitely think that there is a lot of merit to what the article states, I watched the fight expecting it to be a tough fight but not this tough as it turned out.

Marquez at times befuddled Pacquaio, he caught him with great counters and gave him a serious run for his money. As someone who wanted to see a Mayweather Pacquaio fight I wanted Pac to win desicively enough that his reputation remains 100% intact so that when the superfight happens excuses aren't made by either Floyd or Manny that would try to dampen or minimize the importance or luster of the event.

Somewhere along the lines I started pulling for Marquez because of the surprising effectiveness of his performance, And I say surprising because conventional wisdom was that he's likely to be over the hill. But I don't know why Nacho decided to let him know he's winning. Mayweather Pacquaio is going to be the richest fight in history and considering the politics of boxing he should have known that at some point that you can't leave it to chance. De la Hoya vs Trinidad is a prime example of why you keep your foot on the gas even if you believe that you are winning, especially if you're opponent has alot on the line.

Marquez let a fight in which he had the momentum and the mental edge to
slip back to a fighter who was on his way to the wrong end of a decision. It certainly wasn't a robbery. Manny Pacquaio won the fight. Juan Manuel Marquez, put forward a gallant effort but fell short despite having that mental edge.

I'd like to give it to Marquez, He deserves somethig, but not at the expense of denying Manny Pacquaio his well earned victory.

    Spot on. Great piece.
I had exactly as Harold 116-112.
Watching replay I noticed Pac was better than I thought.
His right hooks landed non stop w/ big audience reactions.
