JMM was nobody at that time:lol:?For the nth time on these boards although you hamed fans will never admit it:JMM was the top WBO contender for at least 1 1/2 years and hamed never challenged him during that time. Then hamed FINALLY issued a challenge to fight JMM,but hamed expected Marquez to be ready in a ridiculously short amount of time.Deny it all you want, but hamed was NEVER SERIOUS about fighting JMM.And did you ever stop to consider that due to MAB's being a far better fighter than Robinson that that's the reason that he made hamed look so silly and hamed looked so good against a good, tough but quite limited fighter in Robinson?Nah,you'd NEVER admit that. And hamed fans don't make any excuses? Here's a list that I remember that have been written by hamed fans on these boards, although I'm not going to remember all of them now as there are just so many and I believe the number got up to 8 or 9:
1.hamed was never the same after he left ingle.
    2.hamed had brittle hands
3.hamed lost his desire because he got rich.
4.hamed was simply past his prime(even though he was only 27 and had only 30+ fights against pretty good at best competition).
5.hamed proved he wasn't himself before the MAB by not even jumping over the top rope before that fight(my 2nd personal favorite:lol:)
6.hamed wan't motivated and didn't train properly(my personal favorite because hamed was ALWAYS a lazy trainer and the MAB fight was EASILY the biggest fight of his career)
7.hamed fell in love with his punching power and began to rely on it exclusively(my 3rd personal favorite because hamed was always technically shite)
No excuses,Azzer:lol::lol:?You're almost as funny as Hent.:lol:That's only 7 for now,but I'll come up with more as I remember them. See ya later:lol:

I respectfully disagree.Fight your #1 WBO contender instead of ignoring him for a year and a half. And when you challenge him to a fight, give him proper time to prepare.

No one ever took WBO rating seriously and WBO never enforced mandatories. Around this time they were infamous for moving up a dead fighter in their rankings (after he died) :nut

BTW never seen a source that said Marquez was given the fight at short notice, I'm sure you have 1 so post it......

Some gimmick.I hated the Prince because of his attitude but he was REALLY good and he was not only fast but had 1 punch power-people forget how fast he was.

Steve Robinson-heck of a fighter-soild coming off some impressive wins and Naseem EMBARRASED him and then took him out.

Manuel Medina-3 time world champion-Naseem took him out in 11.

Tom Johnson-44-2-one of my favorites.Had multiple title defenses and fell to the Prince in round 8.

Billy Hardy-decent boxer and the Prince took him out in LESS then a round.

Kevin Kelly-47-1-2- Featherweight champion and fell in 4 rounds to the Prince.

Wilfredo Vasquez-Featherweight champion who defended title 4 times fell in 7 to the Prince.

Paul Ingle-Unbeaten in 21 bouts.Prince stopped him in round 11.

Cesear Soto-Featherweight champion-lost wide decision to the Prince.
Vuyani Bungu-dominant jr.featherweight champion with 13 consecutive defenses and had never been stopped in his entire career-until the Prince took him out in 4.The only time Bungu failed to last the distance.

Now how is he a gimmick? He was a dominant champion who made a ton of money-hence some of his performances towards the end of his career.

He was awkward AND fast.Mix that with 1 punch power and he gives alot of featherweights problems.

As a matter of fact at featherweight he accomplished more then Marquez did-hell I saw Marquez vs Norwood and Marquez LOST to an inferior boxer because he simply didn't do enough. But nobody ever says anything about that.
I couldn't stand the Prince but he was a hell of a boxer and to say he was a gimmick is just posters who didn't like him take away from his accomplishments in the ring.

If nobody took the WBO seriously, then why do hamed's fans brag about his having that belt:lol::lol:?In other words,YOU are admitting that it was a worthless belt:lol:?And THAT'S the reason that hamed ignored him for that stretch of time:lol:?NOW I got it:lol:.Btw,just for shits and giggles, who was the dead fighter that got ranked:lol:?That's ****ing beautiful. As for the other point, there is a Ring magazine interview from about 2 years ago in which Marquez talks about the occurances surrounding those events. At the time of said interview,JMM was still angry at hamed for it:lol:.I don't know the link but if you google it,I'm sure it would be easy to find.

A truly magnificent fighter,a great showman, and a credit to both his people and the sport of boxing. There's been a concentrated effort by both the Mexicans and the zionists to undermime and discredit the truly glorious reign of our prince, but more and more fans are finally beginning to learn the truth about prince Naz's career, and he's finally getting his just due as the absolute GOAT of boxing.

By the way,you can expect this thread to last for atleast another month. Our dear friend Clinton, who has a thing for the prince, will make sure of that.

Johnson was 33(same as Bungu when hamed fought him)when he fought hamed.Let me re-type that:THIRTY ****ING THREE.ANCIENT for a featherweight.JMM beat MAB,but 33 year old Johnson is going to do that?:lol::lol::lol::lol:.And just whom on (the younger:lol:)Johnson's resume indicates that he was in MAB's class?Hamed supporters like to say hamed was shot at 27,but Johnson at 33 was better than MAB:lol::lol:?Thanks for making my day.

Shitty Clint, you'd be operating in this thread like a ***** in a red light district regardless of whether others were "spouting utter tripe" about the great Naseem Hamed. You love the prince, yet your own bigotry will never allow you to openly acknowledge your admiration for the great man.

hamed's list of pretty good but nothing special victims:alphabet champions during a decent era,or past it when hamed got ahold of them, nothing more or nothing less.
    Steve Robinson.Good fighter but limited.21-9 record.Was tough,but nothing special.
Medina. How many losses before he fought hamed-7 or 8?
In the 2 1/2 years before the hamed fight,Kelly Kelley was stopped by Alejandro Gonzalez and drew with Clarence Adams and 18-8 Tommy Parks. At the point in the career of the hamed fight,Kevin was most certainly past it.
Wilfredo Vasquez not only had at least 7 losses by the time he fought Hamed,he was about 37 and shot to ****.
Paul Ingle was tough but limited. So what he was undefeated. He wasn't anything special in the 1st place.
Cesar Soto had at least 7 losses before he fought hamed, and lost to hamed in a wrestling match that hamed initiated.
Bungu was not only 33 when hamed fought him,but in 2 of the 3 fights leading up to hamed he won a split decision and a majority decision, including against Danny Romero, hardly a world beater. And those 3 fights before hamed were at 122.
Hamed was a dominant champion because his competition was pretty good at best.Had he been fighting at feather in the time just a couple of years after he actually retired,he would have had at least a few losses on his career.Yes,he was awkward and fast and had excellent power. But he was technically deficient and relied on psyching out his less than stellar opposition into wild off balance shootouts in which he thrived. He was tailored made for prime, excellent, tough, efficient boxers that wouldn't have gotten caught up in his antics, hence someone like MAB.And if you saw Marquez-Norwood,then you know that that was a wrestling match as well.Do you honestly believe Norwood was better than JMM?

Lying racist pompous ass cookieboy, what's "makes" hamed "great"?:lol:And what makes him "a great man":lol::lol:?I don't love hamed.:lol:I LAUGH at him and his deluded supporters as they(you) lie to themselves(yourself) and try that with anyone else who'll listen:lol:.He was an overrated clown that was one of the most classless assholes ever to enter a boxing ring. When he finally fought an elite,he was exposed at 27,fought one more time and quit at the ripe old age of 28,probably realizing that he'd never beat an elite as he just wasn't good enough:lol:.And you and the rest of his supporters are in complete denial over it:lol:.Now,go on,racist cookieboy and try not to make fun of child abuse like you like to do.
