He stepped inside the foot because Pacquiao threw a somewhat lazy jab, that's what I saw anyway. He changed up the angle very well IMO and took advantage...I don't believe the foot stomp was intentional, otherwise would he not keep his foot on top of Pacquiao's whilst throwing the shots.

^ Proof positive that it was JMM taking the fight to Manny, all night long, & not the other way around.

    Thanks, Anthony !

(And I bet the idiot compu-box guy scored that as a landed right for Manny)

Both Marquez and Pacquiao step in with their lead foot when they go to throw power shots. Manny gets tangled less, but then southpaws generally have had a lot more practice fighting orthodox fighters.

There were other times Marquez stepped on Manny's foot that the OP missed btw, but yeah, like the second guy said: Orthodox. Southpaw.

so, this is legal, now, orthodox fighters should capitalize on this when fighting southpaws. No wonder Clottey used this technique when he fought Pacquiao.

And the CRYBABY's got the nerve to say he was CHEATED. It sounds familiar, like the GAYWEATHER accusing the PAC of ROIDS, when he's the one going on vacation and cycling his peds. :hat

To the stupid ass that started this thread... if Marquez (a 60 fight veteran & one of the most technically proficient fighters in the sport) was doing this on purpose... don't you think he would have been able to do it more then 6 times in 36 minutes.

This statement is probably as dumb as that guy Bama posting on a different thread that James Kirkland is a harder puncher then Tito Trinidad.
Also... if I were fighting a southpaw i would much rather have my foot stepped on then be the one stepping on the other guys foot. If my foot is getting stepped on it means it is squarely planted on the canvas whilst my opponents foot it on the uneven surface that is my foot which would be disruptive to his balance. Good chance of over turning your ankle.

I like Pac and Marquez a lot and these kind of threads are a all time low for diehard pacfans I mean it defines grasping at straws your trying to say JMM beat Pac because he was stepping on his foot? BTW that happens all the F'ing time and a ton of boxers do it and it's probably the least dirty of actual dirty techniques(like holding and hitting, purposely missing a punch to connect with a elbow, low blowing, spitting out your mouth piece etc.)
