When in history has a fighter won and want an immediate rematch?

I agree with this ^^^...Marquez-Pacquiao will almost certainly make for an entertaining fight almost everytime out. We all know the eventual outcome of Floyd-Manny.

 

No ****, maybe because JMM is a tough fight for him and he felt like he won a close one, no need to go through that **** again. This is business.

This time obviously hes thinking he got away with one and wants to do right. I cant see another way of rectifying this situation.

Its a hell lot better than hey I still got my belts, c you later, never.

 

Really??? Why the time lapse between fights 2 & 3 if this were true. On 24/7, all Pac talked about was "clearing things up" in JMM's mind regarding fights 1 & 2. Leave "no doubt" was the battle cry. Whoops!!!:bbb

I think so! My point is that is what you say is true (rectifying a perceived wrong), then he should've felt the same way after both previous fights (the supposed victory and draw). His sudden growth of a conscience seems timely to me.:good

 

Thats because he really believes he won those fights and theres no need to rectify **** until this 22 million payday came up.

 

Next question is, does Marquez want to even bother? I guess the money will be his main motivation this time and realizes he will have to duplicate this performance to get a draw at best. I think the judges will be more careful seeing as they will be under a microscope if they do indeed rematch.

 

I totally agree. But no need for him to be embarrassed, Marquez is a great fighter in his own right. Atleast his is not hiding behind this controversial UD - I would actually give him props for this.

 

so right now .... there is totally no pressure from fans for the 4th fight?

Floyd never asked for a rematch. There was a rematch clause in Castillo's contract and he opted to use it. However, Floyd has been known to offer rematches to opponents who thought they were treated unfairly i.e. Angel Manfredy and I believe Victor Ortiz.
