Trout-Mundine yet to be signed

I agree with you. I see Cotto beating Margarito and don't think Cotto will want to fight Trout who is relatively unknown to the wider boxing/sports fans. At Cotto's stage in his career he will only want huge name fights.

 

I will sign them both, 5 million dollars each, we will go to africa and bill it as Rumble in the Jungle II... call me on 1800 THE DON!

 

just think. with mundine refusing to fight anyone with a pulse, we have to put up with mundine threads for the next few years...

I don't get why they have a super champion when the super champion never seems to fight the regular champion. The super champion basically gets to do as he pleases as makes really has no link to the WBA's rankings and ranked fighters.

Forcing Cotto to vacate makes sense but I wonder if this does happen.

Maybe if Mundine puts up 4 million he mite get the Cotto.

I see Cotto fighting Pac man or JCCjr next year. that is a HBO PPV fight that will do good numbers and make big money

I think Anthony Mundine will fight Austin Trout and suggestions seem to be it will happen early next year. But if Mundine having claimed the mandatory position doesn't fight Trout it will be a media disaster for him.

 

The reason why the original negotiations between Mundine and Trout broke down is because Mundine wanted to choose ring size, brand and weight of gloves and receive all Australian PPV dollars and gate-takings.
