Nigell Benn best fights

The only time I saw Benn fight live was when he lost to Malinga (Newcastle arena if memory serves) and announced his (premature) retirement. Sad to see him lose but a privilege to be there.

I recently visited the home of his trainer Kevin Sanders (who also worked with Matt Skelton) and got to see some great rare photos and unedited footage/rushes from the Benn vs McLellan ITV documentary. Very interesting!

 

The neurosurgeon who operated on McClellan came across very well in that program (and generally during the whole saga) IIRC.

 

People also need to recognise the efforts that Frank ****** made to help McLellan's recovery. He paid for the medical care for Gerald and accommodation expenses for his family. He was doing well until the G Man's family insisted that he was flown home against medical advise and permanent damage was caused.

Have you heard of Benn vs Eubank before..?

It just annoys the **** out of me, when so called boxing fans. Don't have a clue or knowledge of past historic monumental events.

If it was football, i am sure 16 years old up and down the country know and have knowledge of past monumental events.
