Same, it cruised up from the back, great run, just not enough on the day.

Did you say it was 5lb heavier than expected? (if so that might've been the difference)

Cheers anyway as that covers my footie and Boxing bets :thumbsup

Yeah it was 5lbs wrong at the weights because the top weight kept half the field out the handicap, 1st and 2nd were racing at there right weight, deffo made some difference anyway. If you take the calculations for the front 2 racing 5lbs heavier then our boy beats them by 3 or 4 lengths. Cant complain though as a profit was still made in the race.

Colomban to be knocked down and win against Vassell: 40/1

As far as 40/1 shots go, this is a pretty good one IMO. I see the fight as 50/50 going in and Colomban has a very good chance of pulling off the upset.

Vassell to be knocked down at 11/2 isn't a bad price either I don't think; I can see Colomban walking Vassell onto an uppercut, which is a good punch he has in his repertoire (Vassell was also buzzed a couple of times against Purdy).

Yes it was my good man and I've just picked up a half time acca too :happy

Shrewsbury, Macclesfield, Carlisle, Bristol Rovers and Notts County at about 33/1 (only had £5 on this, usually a tenner :!:)

Waiting on Morton, Ross County and Cowdenbeath on a treble, and Bournemouth, Huddersfield, Shrewsbury and Spain on an acca ..

sneaky tenner on knockdown/count in 1st round @19/4. Pacman wont have to go looking for JMM and it is not like he doesnt have form for dropping marquez in fights early

anyone fancy breidis prescott v mike alverado? looked good against mclosky(won in my eyes) and seemed a better all round fighter.jablooked great and still got decent power.alverado is a come forward fighter and i think that is not too clever against prescott...just think its worth a shot@ 3-1.......even 4-1

4/6 is a decent price on Magnus Caris to beat Barrie Bates in the darts. Bates is suffering from arthritis in his throwing hand. Poor chap. Caris 5-0 is 25/1. That's not too bad considering Bates 5-0 is 28/1 but Caris is far too unspectacular a player to expect a whitewash from.

NB: This has only been priced up by a couple of bookies so far. Might be worth waiting 'til later on in the evening.

After a very decent run, got stopped in my tracks by the Burns result and the England/Spain game. Nearly made up for it with a Pac points bet, but my ****ing useless bank - HSBC to be precise - chose that precise moment to put a block on my card due to 'suspicious activity' on my account, which in fact amounted to a couple of small purchases in Clintons Cards and ToysRus. Wankers. Now mulling over lumping on Germany tonight, who at evens against a weakened Dutch side look great value, except for two things. One, their recent record against Holland is very ordinary, and two - international friendlies are the ****ing boneyards of betting fortunes.

Sounds like you're chasing, Cankerd. You would be mad to lump on in a friendly either way.
