And the point of my post was, his breakdown on a fight EVERYONE scored the same is....pointless. But it made you wet, so you love it. :thumbsup

The scorecard is relevant in light of what just happened between Manny Pacquiao and JMM. Now people can actually look upon the performance as impressive instead of forgettable.

Styles make fights and Pacquaio scored shutout decision wins over guys like Clottey, Cotto, Margo at 154 well above his natural weight, Mosley and now he's willing to face a real threat in Bradley at 140 or a catchweight in between 140 and 147 pounds. Floyd didn't knock out Hatton in two or TKOed a helpless ODLH in 9! A 4th fight between this two is unthinkable cause not even Vasquez and brother Marquez went that far without suffering irreversible damage. Now, it's time for Pacquiao-Bradley, Mayweather defending his WBC ww title and Marquez can well fight the best out there cause he's a class act no matter having lost a shoutout decision to Floyd.

Every excuse people give for Marquez becomes irrelevant given the third fight with Manny. Thus, people can look at it as impressive instead of just so expected.

Thread of the year. I think we need more threads like this on ESB. Great analysis.

I'm not going to agree with your card until I see some CompuBox numbers and a comparison of facial damage. These are obviously the two most important factors when scoring a fight.

I just rewatched the fight also, even though Mayweather dominated Marquez did way better than people give credit for, he even landed a 3 punch combo on while Floyd was on the ropes, and he kept Mayweather moving cause he was so accurate with the over hand right, which he landed at least 6 of them in the first 6 rounds, Floyd toyed with him from rounds 6-12

SN:Am I the only one who thought Marquez was much faster in the Mayweather fight
