I posted it about two years ago in a thread, For me it's suspicious and rightly brought up.

People have said 'why would he show it and leave himself open to it. He can't be that stupid'. Well Luis Resto and Lewis were stupid enough to give away game when Resto shook hands with Collins father. If they were brazen enough to do it under watch of commissioners then why would they hide it when fights done?. For me Miguel has a point and December 3rd i wanna see Closure!

 

Well to me there's no doubt that Margarito used illegal wraps against Cotto. It's just common sense that if he was caught in his very next fight where nothing was really changed.

That said, whether that any major influence on the fight outcome is still questionable. It's hard to disagree with Cotto's comment that it's "stupid" to be prepared to die in the ring but when you're up against someone who is, sometimes that can be the deciding factor and may have been in the first fight. When times got tough for Cotto in their first fight, he got stopped.

Yeah disappointing to say the least...

 

I think abit too much is made out of the wraps aswell..? Why are people bringing it up..? What exactly was his wraps..? concrete..? mental..? abit too much is made of that situation. Cotto is afraid, his head is all over the show..? Margarito is having a whale of a time, and has Cotto's number.

 

Margo said he is willing to die, I believe him. Cotto said that is stupid and it is, but it gives you a distinct advantage in boxing. The willingness to die seperated them in the first fight and I worry it could again. But then Margos a cheater and cheaters shouldn't prosper!!

 

That's my favourite Face-Off so far. Max nailed Margo about the inconsistency of his arguments about when he did and didn't know he had handwraps and could have pressed him on that point a bit more. Cotto looked really cool in this and I so want him to win. WAR MIGUEL!! (good use of tablet technology as well:good)
