At the time a lot of people accused Floyd of fighting the smaller man and a whole bunch of other stuff. Not accusing anyone, but do you still feel the same about floyds win over marquez or does it mean more to you now that marquez beat pacquiao?

I'm not sure what you're asking.

I do feel that the Marquez that just beat / humiliated Pac is a MUCH better fighter than the one that climbed into the ring with Floyd. - Both physically & mentally.
He seems to be on a whole ' nother level at this point. Stronger, smarter, calmer, and even more aggressive, but in controlled spurts.

Right now, I'd rather see PBF - Marquez II than PBF - Pac.

Floyd as always got the credit in beating Marquez. all that happened on saturday is show once again, to people that are blind, is that Pacquiao has a very slim chance in beat Mayweather!! its light in day the pure boxing skills

This is funny isn’t. Marquez at WW beats and humiliates Pacman at WW, while the so called true WW like Cotto, Clottey and Maragrito were embarrassed.

This was a good win for Mayweather at WW, there was no size issue since Mayweather was around 150 fight night, and the difference in that fight was the quality gap. Any version of Mayweather beats JMM

    ZERO CREDIT

floyd was fighting at welterweight for 5 years
jmm fought at featherweight for 13 years

    2009-09-19 Floyd vs JMM

Heres where they were at LESS than 3 years earlier

    JMM
2006-11-25 Jimrex Jaca WBO featherweight title

    FM
2006-11-04 Carlos Manuel Baldomir WBC welterweight title

    126 JMM
    130
    135
    140
    147 Floyd

who in their right mind would give the pound for pound #1 guy credit for that?
not only the pound for pound #1 guy but a guy that was fighting a another guy who had never fought at 140 or 147 EVER

    end thread

zero credit?? He was the 2nd best boxer in the world!!! Are you nuts bro?? Floyd came back after almost 3 years and fought the 2nd best boxer in the world and beat him 12-0. the same boxer who beat the hell out of Pac at the same weight, man your a fool.

Now that marquez whooped that ass, people know that Mayweather win was legit

who gives a flying **** dummy?

wtf did you bring up pac man for ? are we talking about him? is his name mentioned in the thread?

people dont give much credit for terry norris blowing out meldrick taylor in 4 rounds because taylor had went up into his 2nd division since turning pro.....this is 4 ****ing weight divisions in 3 years .... how do you get credit for a mis match?

nice excuse for a welterweight schooling a featherweight...he was coming off a layoff

ever heard of sugar ray leonard? he came off a 2 year lay off and went up a division and fought thhe undisputed middleweight champ in hagler....thats what real super stars do you **** head :hi:

Very little seeing as Marquez had no experience at that weight and was visibly overweight and slow.
The version that fought Pac was much better.

That said Mayweather would easily beat this version too just based on styles.
They are both counterpunchers but Mayweather doesnt care about stinkingup the joint and Marquez being Mexican will go into a role he is not comfterble with.

Be interesting to see what would happen if Marquez would fight with the same mindset, it would be extremely boring from a action standpoint but the chessmatch might be fun.

    Very little credit?

Floyd beat him 12-0. Humiliated JMM. Nobody does that to JMM and it was a great win after a long lay off.
