Anyway, the NYC is probabily the best of a bad bunch of commissions in the States. Their assessment of a fighters condition is normally spot on. Only commission who wouldn't license Ali after the Spinks fights.

 

I don’t think that’s got anything to with it, Slip. It’s not Pacquiao fighting Cotto, it’s Margarito. When the previews of the Face-Off started it looked like Tony’s eye was badly damaged. Now, having read more than a few reports, it’s very clear it’s seriously damaged.

He likely can’t see much out of it (and his defence wasn’t great in the first place), and as soon as Cotto starts tapping his left hook on the eye, it will swell up again.

This could have a huge impact on the fight.
