after pacquiao's rescent bout, which was shrouded in controversy, people have suggested many reasons for his performance, i personally feel juan manuel simply outboxed him, & his style will always cause manny problems..

But what is your take on Alex Ariza, litte attention has been paid on him who said “Not even GOD could even beat Pacquiao that night” on HBO's 24/7, he's got rather **** & arrogant as of late . Mannys speed, coordination & Stamina was below bar, & has been in decline since the Margarito fight, is manny not sticking to his methods? or is he being over trained? Or has pacquio's progression been more to do with his choice of opposition rather than his strength & conditioning?

which leads me to the main question,Should Ariza be fired by pacquiao?

Manny is preparing to fight Mayweather and has stopped taking his usual supplements. The change has adversely affected Pacquiao.

Don't think he needs to sack him because he had one bad fight. But can always ask him to talk less. Let the fighters do the talking.

Everything that would come out of that Pacquiao camp now is pure excuse making.

Both Roach and Ariza beforehand had said that Pacquiao showed up early and motivated like never before in training camp.
This was personal business and Pacquiao was out to thrash Marquez for wearing those "I beat Pacquiao twice T-shirts."

The report from Roach and Ariza was that this was Pacquiao's best training camp ever.......

.....our very own John Garfield who's an invitee to watch Pacquiao's sparring sessions reported on this board that it was a site to behold to watch Pacquiao spar with such speed, fluidity, and grace.
John Garfield reported to us, to this board that Pacquiao was in tip top form and looking the best he'd ever seen him.

    /thread!!!

Are you saying Pacquiao should consider firing Ariza because Ariza has a big mouth.
.....if this is what you're saying he should go ahead and fire Freddie Roach as well who's mouth is of equal size to Ariza's.:deal

Roach is a future hall of famer, & speaks out to promote the fight, but Ariza's pedigree pales in comparison, he has no leg to stand on.

But should he be firedFor the decline in pacquio's conditioning since the cotto fight? Do you believe he's looked the same since?

    He should let Ariza go.

Not because Ariza doesn't do his job well, but because Manny doesn't listen to him. What's the point in paying an expert only to ignore him?

Ariza is very good at what he does. I'm not going to knock the guy.

That's a reasonable position to take, but he didn't complain about manny not listening to him in this camp, as he did in the maragarito & CLottey Camps which i found strange!

Pacman should not be pointing fingers and just take the full burden of his poor showing against Marquez. Ariza was not the one being countered.

We may say that Pacquiao under performed or that Marquez just had his number, I see this a a blessing in disguise for Manny for it showed that he has lost the hunger and ferocity and was becoming too much of a gentleman inside the ring. I see that the result would drive him to go back to the drawing board - he knows that he lost that fight.

He didn't just have one bad fight. He looked less than god-like against Mosely. the only reason he won that fight was because Mosely barely even showed up.
    - And Pac still complained about cramps. - that's either total BS, or due to bad training & diet.
