It's the "Compu" part that throws off folks that don't realize it's humans pushing a button at their discretion.
You are right. It CAN be seen sometimes that the humans pushing the button to count punches are paid by HBO the same as the commentators who sometimes have an agenda.
Those who don't like Compubox now sure liked it when it gave stats to their boxers, such as Williams!
...or they're the same people who felt Williams lost and disagreed with Compbux then, too? Or are you so special, Farmy, that ONLY YOU can see through all the mirages?
Dude as, you can see above, you were on the first page of this thread bitching about it yet have been spamming Pacquiao-Marquez numbers all over the board, and you want to call others hypocrites?
I wish they would come out with a post fight Compubox system where the fight is reviewed in slow motion by a larger panel of judges and compare them to the live Compubox statistics. It is possible as it is not rocket science.
Compubox is a big reason I hate watching HBO telecasts. They always display punch stats after a round and they do let it influence their scoring and how they call the fight. Mayweather-De La Hoya was the worst case I've seen. They had Floyd well ahead by the mid rounds based on BS compubox stats which counted for Floyd blocked punches and punches hitting gloves and arms as having landed.
So when we talk about Floyd, he's the most accurate puncher in compubox history But when Pac out lands Marquez's compubox stats, it's overrated and biased....
The judges and compubox both gave it to pac. Judge scores wernt good enough and so gave you the compubox numbers as an additional proof (crap or not) Whats wrong?
