I do believe Roach and Pac were extremely over confident. I don't think the intensity lacked but maybe their attention to the fine details did. For instance.....Nacho and JMM knew the had to revise a completely new strategy and game plan for a new version of Pac they were to face...they implemented new dynamics for this camp over any of his previous camps....

I think Freddie, Pac and Ariza all made the mistake that they were in for an easy night. I don't think any of them felt the need to come up with any fresh game plan to prepare for JMM. The other excuses are to be expected given how over confident they were prior to the fight. It was like there was absolutely no pressure at all going into the fight with JMM and were already looking at Mayweather in 2012. Obviously a big mistake.

He is asked what they can do different in their next fight, and he says "Im not sure" then he goes on to say that maybe he overtrained pac and whatnot, hes trying to answer the question as to what they can do different in preperation but then goes on to give JMM credit in saying he knows how to fight Pac and that if they fight him again it will be another close fight.

He gives jmm plenty of credit

honest and Roach should not be put in the sentence no matter if you like what he says or no. The guy is a great trainer but speaks tons of bull**** and changes his mind about something 10 times a day

Hes knows the pacman hype has now come to a halt. Pac is no superman anymore, Marquez is the most fundamentally skilled boxer p4p bar Mayweather.

Roach say's, " ...I thought he would be too old..." " Marquez proved me wrong...".

That's why they would wait so long for a rematch against Marquez hoping they would not only benifit from the weight but also with time.

    Thanks for your honesty Freddy.

Look at the form book, Pac has been demolishing bigger and PREMIER fighters since 2008 while JMM moved up once to a bigger weight and got annihalted.

Logic would therefore indicate Pac's form - combined with JMM's age - would continue. There was a reason why he was a big underdog.

Good interview, and Roach knows JMM won, but at the same time have to love his "who gives a ****" face on Mayweather. Floyd is a coward, we all know this.

I will never underestimate Marquez again? A multiple time trainer of the year should never underestimate a fighter that has ran his fighter close 2 times already.

So essentially Roach has admitted JMM was suppose to be another hand picked fighter past his best who Pac would look good against.
