I hope he doesn't, whether he fights Pacquaio again or not. He showed on Saturday that he's still capable of turning in a masterful performance, despite his age.

Marquez is one of the all-time greats that should be ranked on par, if not higher, than Pacquiao.

I would say he is one of the best but to say that he is greater than PAC, wouldn't say so..... (take note I said greater not better)...

Personally I think the only difference between the two is that Manny has had the opportunity to fight more Elite level and ATG fighters. If JMM had been given the nod in the second fight between the 2, their roles could have been reversed. Pacquaio's got a better resume, that's the only area he tops JMM, in my opinion.

I love JMM, carries himself how every fighter should. He makes a fair point to there was no way that the crowd would have reacted the way they did had they genuinely not thought he won. It wasn't just Mexican fans either but the neutral fans to.

you are more likely to be on an illegal substance than jmm, pacquiao and mayweather combined.

Juan, are you forgetting a certain Floyd Mayweather? :good

Anyway, I don't think he should retire. He should ask Pacquiao for a 50-50 split if they want the fourth fight that badly. And if they don't accept, then he could try his luck at 140 and win a belt there (against Khan or Morales).

Sure, beat the guy, take his legacy. Doesn't work that way. Marquez will be ranked accordingly based on his resume and achievements. Pacquiao will be clear ahead of him in ATG rankings.

What makes you say that? Because you believe he's got the better of Pacquiao in all of their fights?

pacquiao worked hard for his.. making it competitive with pac does not equate that he has surpassed pac's achievements altogether. jmm has a great resume himself but they are two different fighters who went on different paths that just make tough fights together.
