Hmm I see...Peterson will be a very good test b/c I'm not sure if it's a case like Manny. Manny is very accurate against face first brawlers but guys who give him movement...not so much so...to say the least. In boxing you have to be able to hit a moving target.

My other point is simply that McClosey could make a lot of top fighters looks silly by making them miss. However you need to land your own punches too.

The same way Dirrell made Froch look like an amateur at times during their figh by making him miss wildly.

 

Yes Peterson should be a good test for Khan, Khan has a longer reach than Manny so does not find it as hard as Manny with moving targets, also Khan can move faster around the ring.

 

I wonder what the Peterson strategy will be?

Will he use the 3 inch advantage to push him out and make him take risks to actually "get inside" or will he pressure him and try to work his body, he actually has options, Khan is going to be getting a new look a person the same size with a longer reach who is above average in skill.

Will Khan need an inside game if the fight isn't even going to take place there? I don't remember Floyd ever chasing a guy down aggressively to make him fight on the inside. That's not his style. The only way he [Khan] will need it, is if through frustration of not being able to land anything mid/long range, he resorts to fighting Mayweather close up. If he falls into this trap, then his lack of in-fighting will mess up.

 

I never count Peterson out, I'm looking forward to the 10th!!

I like how all the khan hype has erased the whole getting knocked out in 1.40 seconds from a virtual unknown. I would never put my money on khan, ability is one thing ,ring intelligence is another. Khan Lacks this.

 

Their reach is about he same Peterson might have an inch on Khan, boxrec stats are wrong with Khan's reach.
