This is what I find hypocritical and self-contradicting. If one thinks he won in the ring but not in the books and say the whole world knows who really won and the whole world and boxing fans are the best judges, then don't even bother bitching about it, let alone consider a rematch. Cause once you do, you are seeking validation from the official judges and not from the whole world, not from the fans and certainly not from yourself.

So in the end, it's not what you believe that is important to you... that satisfies you. It's the record book. A moral victory is not enough. You simply want a "W" marked on your record to legitimize your claim.

And to say,"If I had lost in the ring, no Mexican fans would have said anything, and they would have accepted the reality."... I guess Marquez hasn't been to ESB with all the threads about his fights with Pacquiao.

I guess Ken Norton was the best in the world, not Ali...

Forget what they achieved H2H, just who won the fights between them.

Prescott is also better than Khan.
Jermaine Taylor is better than Hopkins.

Anyways, I invite JMM to beat Clottey, Margo, Cotto. He has Pac's number, that doesn't make him the best in the world. Pac wouldnt have gone life and death with Diaz or Katsidis...and he destroyed MAB whereas MAB put JMM on the canvas. Styles makes fights.

Regardless of whether he won this, hes not the best fighter in the world.

    Floyd is.

The same Floyd that schooled him in dominating fashion for 12 rounds.

Just because Pacquiao didn't mop the floor with you, you can cal itself the best of the world. You put up a decent fight. That's about it. You didn't do enough to take away paca title.

Why does Marquez have to fight those guys in order to be considered greater than pac? He can always fight Kahn/Bradely at 140 and Rios at 135. Guys who are the best in their division and are in their primes.

Besides, Clotty is simply a titlist and Margo was well past his best when pac fought him. Only win that means something is Cotto.

I hate it how people are saying stuff like if Marquez is better than Pacquiao because everyone thought he beat Pacquiao then Douglas is better than Tyson and Prescott is better than Khan etc.

Marquez has beaten hall of fame fighters and is a 2 weight world champion. Prescott has never been a world champion and Douglas won one big fight. To be saying that if Marquez is better than Pacquiao then Prescott and Douglas are better than Khan and Tyson is stupid.

BTW I think in terms of who is better head to head I think Marquez is better but in terms of what they have achieved in their career then its Paquiao easily.

we have had 36 rds of boxing to determine who is better. imo, marquez has shown he is better than pac. he may not have accomplished as much as pac but i think he has beaten him at 2 different weight divisions now. pac supposedly had his best camp in years and still could not pull ahead of jmm who is pretty old now.

Do you consider Norton to be better than Ali?

JMM definitely should fight Floyd again. Juan seems to be a much better fighter now, both physically & mentally, despite his age.

And heck, JMM is the true champ, so why would Floyd want to bother with Manny? Manny is kind of a joke right now.

Marquez- Mayweather II accomplishes several important things:

1: A chance for JMM redemption.

2: A chance to see if JMM is truly a better fighter now, even at 38. (I believe he is)

3: A chance for both Floyd & JMM to totally humiliate Pac.

4: Probably a bigger payday for JMM than if he fought Pac again.

    5: **** Bob Arum.

6: I'd really like to see this fight !
