Andre Ward vs. Carl Froch: who will win?

But if I want to play your game i'll say:

Prediction: Ward UD.
Rooting for: Froch ko!

 

Fair enough, that seems to be the general consensus of how Ward will win but people forget how good Froch is on the outside and how adaptable he is himself. Froch will be looking to jab Wards face off, especially early on and if he can set the pace and keep Ward from coming inside for the majority of the fight, he'll beat him.

 

anyone who thinks ward is gonna have an easy night out is joking. this is going to be his hardest fight. froch is always confident, never stops coming, with awkward boxing ability and a chin. ward will have to bring his best stuff, and for some reason i'm not totally sold on froch not being able to get to ward's chin cleanly. it's tough to pick the winner because of ward's abilities too. i'm just gonna have to sit back and watch

Froch HAS the ability to do a good job on the outside.


Really not a big fan of Ward's style.

Hoping for Froch to kick his ass.

(and Froch-Bute would be far more interesting than Ward-Bute!!)

 

yeah, I also feel like it'll be tricky for ward if he sits back and boxes while froch comes forward with his lanky arms and significant punching power

I agree. Awkward boxers are hard to pick against because you never know how the opponent will adjust to their awkward style. Ward has never fought a decent fighter with the style that Froch has and he'll either adapt to it or he won't. Considering he lost a few rounds to Bika and struggling with his style, I don't think there is much cause for anyone to be too confident in Ward.

Both are elite fighters and it'll be close. I wouldn't be surprised if Froch stopped him late.

Seriously worried about Froch spouting that Ward has no power.

Head = Ward UD
Heart = Froch stoppage
Strange feeling = Froch gets stopped

 

Ward will win somewhat easily, in a very boring clinch filled fight.
