He's been getting a lot of abuse on the Russian internet, I think he has to take the fight.

Povetkin is "mandatory" for Wlad by twisted WBA rules so he will have to fight Wlad at some point. Although he was mandatory before so you never know...

Povetkin's entertaining and I like him, but he needs to step it up and sign on to fight Wladimir. Don't think he has any real chance though to win that fight.

    Yup. same here.:deal

Dude did start his career in very good fashion. Beating Ahunanya, Mahone (former title challenger), Bostice+Larry Donald(fringe contenders), Byrd, Chambers.

No shame in losing to the best. ****, even if he lost the first time around almost 4 years ago, he'd probably would have worked himself back into a rematch with him by now. Just like Peter, and Thompson have. Only he'd have a few million dollars more, and the experience of being inside the ring before with his opponent, to help him train differently.

I still think Atlas is waiting for Wlad to either be upset by a more palatable opponent, or retire..

Sasha may have an education and be polite unlike some brits that have opened their mouths a lil bit on a too much and then had to eat crap, but the way I saw Alexander Povetkin eating left hooks from Chagaev in the sixth round of their vacant WBA title bout, hey, I will tell u what! I know Chagaev is world class and there was a lot on the line and that Ruslan is a lefty who can manage well to explode those punches on a orthodox fighter easier, but Chagaev seemed ready to go at that point... I feel that the Klits are never going to lose again. Age will retire them.

Even if Povetkin did fight Wlad, it's irrelevant anyway. Alexander doesn't have any chance of winning, the guy sucks....

Wlad will flatten Povetkin, plain and simple. Helenius will stop him as well. The guy is hugely overrated and was briefly on the ***** street against faded Chagaev. I would even go as far as to say that Arreola beats him...
